My Computer Hockey Exploits
So, I can only play my XBox 360 on weekends or days off of school. However, I can use my computer whenever I want. I also have two different, albeit rather mediocre, games for the PC that I've had for a while: NHL 2000 and Backyard Hockey. I did some interesting stuff in a fully-simmed(I can't play PC hockey for crap) season or two of NHL 2000, and I'm installing Backyard Hockey as we speak. What do you think of me posting updates on the various things I go through in these games, as a sort of side project when I don't have a chance to do my BAP or Dynasty? I'd put 2000 in Red and BH in Blue, and of course anything else in normal black font.Tags: None -

Why, so you can have the Kings to yourself? No thanks, my team is already better because I'm not trying to recreate the Canucks and I actually post updates. Also, 2000 freezes every 10 minutes or so, and I can't play for crap on the computer, so I'd have to sim which wouldn't make it interesting. I'm considering doing a BAP-esque thing for Backyard Hockey, it would be awesome.Comment

Re: My Computer Hockey Exploits
Today a bunch of my friends and I decided we were going to make a Backyard Hockey league. I was named the captain of the Minnesota Wild. Our rules were you could only pick two Pros, and that was it. I picked Marty Brodeur and Steve Yzerman. Marty is so good in net, no one can score on him! Steve is also really fast, and scores a lot. We call him "Dangler". The rest of my team is me, Jocinda Smith, Dmitri Petrovich, Pablo Sanchez, and Kenny Kawaguchi. Today we play the Nashville Predators.Comment

We did really good in our first game. We won 22-2! Joe Thornton scored their goals, he was really good. I had 2 goals and 4 assists, while Steve Y had 5 goals and an assist. Jocinda Smith had 4 goals and 3 assists, and Kenny Kawaguchi had 8 goals! That's so awesome! Anyways, we went to go eat popsicles to celebrate the game. I got a green one. It was lots of fun.Comment

Re: My Computer Hockey Exploits
"jocinda smith" lmfao. Did you make that name up, or is that the name of a character that already came with the game?
I remember this game soo much now! I never really played a lot of the hockey one--mostly backyard baseball, which was one of the original ones. I loved that game. Pablo was the tits, man.
The game was kinda racist towards pablo, though. Think about it--he could play baseball, basketball, and football amazingly (actually, it wasn't both b-ball and football--it was one or the other, i just didn't remember which one :P) but was horrible at hockey. Arguably, he's small as hell, but that could definitely be taken as a jab against people of latino ethnicity. Such a funny series of games....rofl. good luck with this, it looks fun.Comment
