Re: Legend in the making: TJ Feeley's Story (MLB 09 The Show)
Bill Gammons: You were selected by the Reds in the first round. Have you made a decision as to what your future entails, whether your going to college or are you going to play professional baseball?
TJ Feeley: Me and my family have given it some thought and I have decided to play professional baseball for the Reds. This has been my lifelong dream and I want to get right to it. I can always go back to college later.
Gammons: What role do you think you will have with Cincinnatti this year?
Feeley: I don't expect to make the club, I am only 18 years old. I need to develop and mature so that when I do make the club, I can contribute right away.
Gammons: It's been great talking with you and good luck in your career.
Feeley: Thank you.Comment

TJ Feeley's first game, an 0-4 night. Not off to a good start. In one picture you can see TJ getting spoken to about his at-bats by the coach. The next pictures are from TJ's second game where he was on fire going 3-4 with 4 RBI.Last edited by mer1in20; 03-03-2009, 07:12 AM.Comment

Re: Legend in the making: TJ Feeley's Story (MLB 09 The Show)
Man, what a rough first couple months this kid has had. Feeley did great in ST with the Reds batting .363 with 3 homers, 7 RBI. He got stuck playing AA ball with the MudCats and things couldn't have gotten worse. He started out on fire from ST but then gradually went below the MEndoza line. I could not get any training points because of how bad I was doing (except for the batting practice). I actually had to move the level down to Veteran and still couldn't hit worth a damn.Comment

Re: Legend in the making: TJ Feeley's Story (MLB 09 The Show)
After the all-star break, Feeley was traded to the Houston Astron organization, particularly the Hooks where he continued his woes from the plate finishing his first season with a .249 average, 6 homers, 19 RBI's and a dreadful .189 OBP. Interestingly enough, Feeley opted for free agency but the Stros were the only team to offer his a contract in the off season and he accepted. His contract was purchased by the Stros from Corpus Christi and he was put on the 40 man roster. During ST, the STos had him play all over the infield and Feeley decimated the competition. He batted .379 with 4 homers in ST. Unbelievable, in only his second year, he was promoted to the Houston Astros right out of ST as a utility man. In his new role, he has been mashing MLB pitching currently batting .303 after 76 at bats. He has 2 doubles, 1 homer, 8 RBI and slugging .368. More to follow.Comment
