    Game 49 Against London

We all knew London was going to be a threat to us at all times, but man I thought they would start being a little worse now that Patrick Kane and Sam Gagner were gone, but they were so consistent. We may have won (5-2) but we were fighting out there.

"Woooo, good job out there guys, real great" said Coach DiPiero.

I sat down quickly as I didn't really like socializing after games, mainly because I didn't really like sharing what happened on the ice. What went on on the ice stays on the ice.

"Jason, you got anything to say?" DiPeiro asked.

"hmmm, oh I have nothing to say coach" I responded.

"Come on Captain, you have nothing to say?" Brett Parnham asked. He was a great goal scorer like me on our team.

"Well, we played good, we could have played much better, but we still won, so oh well" I answered.

"What are you talking about Captain, we won by 3 goals Captain. we played a perfect game to win it" James DeLory said. He had always been the bad player on our team and always thought he was the greatest.

"Are you challenging my otherity?" I asked, at that time, my mind just snapped.

"You have no ottherity over me Skyland!" he lashed out.

"Your in no position to be questioning me James" I responded calmly. I then sat back down and started undressing my equipment.

James remained standing up, red all over his face from anger.

I fit all my equipment into my hockey bag and left the room silently. As I left, all I could feel on my back was the angry glare of James and the stares of my team.

            Last Game in Oshawa

I was so pumped up, the season was ending and I was pretty happy about how the season turned out, and scouts were buzzing everywhere.

While I walking down the street, heading towards the arena, two men in a pick-up truck drove up to me.

Wondering what was happening, I slowly backed away. The two men jumped out of their huge truck. Both were beefy and taller than me and were wearing red plad, sleeveless jackets.

"Umm, Mr.Skyland, your the greatest player we've darn seen here in Oshawa, and we're wondering, if we could possibly have your artergraph?" one asked.

I stood there, stunned, then launched a pen out of my pocket, I had that pen there because when I was running out of my house, I was writing something down.

"Yes, sure guys" I answered as I signed a picture of me skating down the ice. "There you go guys, see you at the game" I said as I started walking down the sidewalk. The guys jumped back into their truck and drove off into the distance.

            After The Game

Well, it seemed to be a pretty easy game against the Ottawa 67's as we trampeled them 5-0. I scored twice and put up 2 assists to end my OHL season totals of 74 goals and 163 points. After the game was done, I stood in the dressing room, just looking down to the Generals logo on the floor. I soaked up the atmosphere in the dressing room as I knew, it was my last time here. I unpacked the equipment off my body, loaded up my bag and went home.

            Home

As I made my way home, countless of people in cars honked and gave me a thumbs up on a job well done. I felt as though I had done a good job as Captain of the Generals. I walked up onto my porch, grabbed a burger and looked up to the stars. I always liked to look up, and today was the perfect day to gaze at the shimmering glasses of star shaped things. Before I was counting on going to play College Hockey after high school was up. But now that I had played in the OHL and some may say I dominated, I needed more, the only step I could think of beyond the OHL was of course, the NHL. I took one last gaze at the stars, before heading in. And to think this all started on a report to the office.

Some may say this the End of a great story, but in my book, it's just the beggining.

                      Decision Time

At first, I thought about going to College, getting a education, then making my run at the National Hockey League. I'm guessing at first, I was scared of the league. Zdeno Chara was what scared me the most, just looking at him makes me jump in my seat.

My mother sat there, pouring hot milk into a baby bottle while my father, my baby sister and I watched the Senators battle the Bruins. To keep my sister amused, I was bouncing her on my leg where she was sitting. I guess she found it fun, as she was laughing her high, squeeky cute laugh I had found amusing. She's the type of person who could light anyone up.

"And a humungous hit on Spezza by the beast called Chara" the man on the television announced. This wa about the 8th time in this game Chara buried someone. Even though he was "supposedly" a nice guy, you wouldn't think it when you see him.

"Jason, you alright?" my father asked as he looked over to me. Of course he knew my fear of the big yellow giant.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I responded, even though I was of course not.

"We could watch the Canucks game if you want?" my father asked as he was about to click the remote.

"No, it's fine dad, I can take Chara" I said in a quiet, squeeky voice.

"That's my boy" he said while punching my shoulder.

                      "Dad..." I began to say.

                      "Yes, son?" he responded.

"I've come to my decision" I said.

My father's eyes widened and my mom dropped a plate into the sink with shock.

                      "I'm choosing...the National Hockey League" I said.

My mother started sobbing that I would be leaving, but I knew she was proud of me.

"That's my boy" my father said as he was comforting my mother.

I felt bad that I was leaving them, but I knew this was the right choice: to follow my dreams of joining the Elite.

                              Jason: Nope.

Nick: So....what are you going to do today?

Jason: What are you doing today.

Jason: Two prospects buying equipment, pretty epic!

                              Later at the Mall.....
