Match Win Total From Last Season

Justin Willis pulls a defender into the endzone in the 2nd quarter

Considering how the Mustangs have performed in recent history, this victory meant a great deal to fans everywhere. Winning the rivalry game was a very important way to open a new era in SMU Football. If you consider that the Mustangs haven't been a top team since the days of Craig James back in the early 1980s - it has been a long time coming.

SMU Stops Baylor In The Mud
Defense Hopes To Build Off Nice Performance

Justin Smart and the SMU Defense Made Life Hard For Another Offense

It was a nasty, rainy day - but that didn't stop the SMU Mustangs from beating up on Baylor. MLB Justin Smart said after the game,
"We aren't afraid of a school just because they are in a BCS Conference. We will play anyone, anywhere. I can't want to smack Crabtree next week if he comes over the middle - make sure he knows that!"

We're sure he knows now... Smart may not look too Smart after that challenge. But we will have to wait and see.
