Giants beat the Brew crew.
AP-The giants find a way to beat the Brewers.Jason Schmidt for the Giants cruised but the Giants offense couldn't muster any runs pass 7 innings but Elgardo Alfonso 2 rbi doublegave the Giants the win and Robb Nen came in for the save and got his seond save of the year.

Giants sweep the series against Padres at home.
Game 1-Giants beat the Padres 6-2.Player of the Game: Jose Cruz JR. went 3-4 with a tripe and 3 rbi. Other Notable names Benito Santiago and JT Snow went deep in the game.Livan Herndanez got the win pitching 6 innings allowing only 2 earned runs. After this game Barry Bonds was voted player of the week.
Game 2-Giants won this game 3-1. The Giants again show little offense untill Mr. Bonds hit a 3 run homer near McCovey Cove. Kirk Rueter cruised through 8 ip with 6 k's. Robb Nen came on int eh 9th to get the save.
Game 3-Giants beat the Padres 2-1.The Padres Phil Nevin got the game started off with a solo shot off pitcher Damian Moss. The giants only offense in the first 8 innigns was a seeing eye rbi single by Rich Aurilia.In the bottom of the 9th, jose Cruz Junior with a runner on second got an rbi single for the Giants win. Kurt Ainsworth pitched 3 shutout innings for his first win.
