Panther's Dynasty; Rawring all the way to June (NHL 09)

My Chicago Blackhawks dynasty came to a halt due to a faulty PS3 Blu-Ray Drive but I finally have my PS3 back and had a decision to make. Whether I should go with my favorite team the Anaheim Ducks, or one of my other favorites the B's or the Hawks. At the end of the day I decided against all three and will playing leading the Florida Panthers in my dynasty. It will be NHL rules except without a salary cap.

    Skill level: All-star (for now)
    Sliders: Default (for now)

    Team: Florida Panthers (84 OVR)
    GM: Layton O'Neil (me)
    Players under contract: 23
    Average age: 27.7
    Top Player: Tomas Vokoun

AHL Affiliate: Rochester Americans (74 OVR)

Panthers Can't Escape OT in 1-2 Loss Opening Night
A disappointing result for a good effort from Florida. That's what happens when you miss 2 open nets on your first powerplay. Let's hope it isn't a show of what's to come.

                  Florida 1
                  Carolina 2 (OT)

                  Shots
                  FLA 26
                  CAR 21

                  Hits
                  FLA 38
                  CAR 23

                  Faceoffs
                  FLA 11
                  CAR 11

                  Powerplay
                  FLA 0/3
                  CAR 1/4

                  Code:
                  Period 1 2 3 OT
                  FLA 0 0 1 0
                  CAR 0 1 0 1
                  Scoring Summary
                  1st Period
                  NO SCORING
                  2nd Period
Erik Cole (1) from E. Stall and R. Whitney
A good goal all alone in the slot at the end of the powerplay going five hole, Erik Cole later left the game due to injury.
                  3rd Period
Nathan Horton (1) from K. Ballard
A beautiful wrap around hopefully the first of many.
                  Overtime
Eric Stall (1) from S. Samsonov
A gorgeous pass from Samsonov in the left corner putting Stall all alone to beat Vokoun easily to win.

                  Penalty Summary
                  1st Period
