Captaincy will be picked based on performance during the pre-season, if there are several candidates, we'll see going into the Regular Season.

INFO: A very physical powerforward, posses great leadership qualities, who plays a solid two-way game, has a great scoring touch, creates room for his teammates by using his size and grit to retrieve the puck on the forecheck, never backs down from a fight. Projects to be a Jarome Iginla-esque winger. Has a wicked little wristshot, and a cannon of a slapshot, which he uses to help QB the powerplay. Logs top-line penalty-kill minutes, and is a force to be reckoned with. Has played very well with winger Devon Platana in the past, and is capable of being a great asset to a top scoring line, as he can create room, make the right passes, and put the puck into the net. Has shown flashes of stickhandling and skating brilliance, just needs time to develop.

Re: Reeling in New Blazers: Signups

Winnipeg, Manitoba: A television crew was on the site when the Winnipeg Blazers returned back to Winnipeg after a brief stint as the Phoenix Coyotes after the Winnipeg Jets failed. Only a few players have come in to try out for the new team but rest assured, many more will be on the site soon enough.

"Okay, Okay, I'm here people" said a young man while walking inside the room. "I said I'm HERE!!!" he yelled inside the short room but still no one seemed to notice. Peter Carey seemed to have almost broken a fuse when one members of the Television crew dropped his pencil and noticed a red faced Peter looking straight at the other young man being reported at the moment.

"Who's that little twerp over there" Peter asked through his clenched teeth. Then another man walked over to him, much bigger then Peter's 5'10 frame and said:

"Your in no place to be calling anyone a twerp, ey shrimpy" he said to his back. Peter slowly turned to him mumbling curse words under his breath but soon noticed the 6'3 Nick Barry.

"At least I'm taller than that kid over there, who is he anyways" Carey asked, still making a fist in his hand.

The stunned news reporter finally got out the words to say: "Jeff S..Shannon...of the Giant...Giants".

Jeff Shannon had noticed the two hockey players to be bickering at eachother and mentioned: "I'm the superstar here and I'm trying to do a news report, so could you SHUT UP!!" he said while turning around. Now both Barry and Carey were about to start a scrap when Philadelphia boys Ernie Volpe and Nick Ritt rushed in to the calm them down.

"Nicky!!" they both yelped, all being former teamates at the 2008 World Junior Championships on Team USA. "Hey guys" Nick repsonded.

Now Jeff was about to choke someone but managed to just say "Trying to do interview here, guys, be the heck quiet" he screamed.

Ernie Volpe whispered loud enough that Jeff could here "He does know that he's not the superstar here, doesn't here. Nick Barry and Nick Ritt both started to shrug as Jeff turned around with the face of evil and stuttered out: "I got 167 points last year and led the Canadian Hockey Le-" he began to say before Devon Platana interupted.

"You led the Western Hockey League, but you came 2nd in scoring" Platana mentioned.

Nick Barry and Nick Ritt both gasped as the door began to open but were dissapointed to see Scott Easterbrook, James Aldrige and Kyle Anderson walk inside.

They all sighed in dissapointed when the doors burst wide open yet the light was much to bright to see who it was as all they could see was a black figure of a shadow. As they're eyes got used to to bright light and they saw who it is.

Nick Barry tapped Jeff Shannon's shoulder and said "The one who led the CHL in scoring..." he began to say.

".....was Jason Skyland of the Rimouski Oceanic with 187 points" he finished off while everyone gazed at Jason.

All Jason Skyland could get out before being mobbed was "what?"
