“Yeah see ya.”

I went home and spent the rest of the day thinking about my hockey future. Finally the morning came and I excitedly hurried to Orientation. I got there and immediately went to the locker room, feeling like I finally belonged. Turns out I didn’t. Apparently the coach decided that only real draft picks get to change in the locker room, I get to change on the ice. I got the feeling my coach didn’t like me when he threatened to knock me out and this pretty much confirmed my beliefs.

Anyway, I finally got out on to the ice and got to warm up. This time we went right to scrimmaging and I had the joy of experiencing life on the 4^th line. Yes, apparently my assh*le coach decided that I am 4^th line material. I barely touched the ice but when I did I made my mark. I scored the only goal of the scrimmage and I did it by beating 3 defenders down the ice then faking out the goalie. After the game, my coach called me into his office.

“Sit down Punk.”When I sat down he continued.”Let me make this clear. I do not like you. However that old crackhead wants me to keep you and play you. You are going to start on the third line and unless you prove you belong here you aren’t moving from that spot. Got it?”

“Yes coach.”

“Ok well get the hell out of my office then. The sight of your face is setting back my anger management classes a few months.”

I got out of there as fast as I could. As I walked out, I reminded myself not to invite this jerk to my NHL Hall of Fame induction.

Thanks for all the comments guys. From this time out we will have games, however I will be adding them in like this instead of doing a more traditional run down of the stats.
