    Lonnie Baker
All my life I had one goal: Get a basketball scholarship to Pittsburgh University. Every since I was a little kid I dreamed of putting on the Panther jersey and leading my team to the Final Four. I started varsity as a freshmen at my high school and thought for sure that I would soon be a panther. However, my mom came in between my goals. The rule was no AAU if my grades weren't at least Bs. Unfortunately throughout the first 3 years of highschool I got all C's. I never once stepped on to an AAU court until my senior year and that cost me a lot of exposure. I led the state in scoring as a senior but by the time I got noticed Pitt had already used all of their scholarships. Bucknell had been recruiting me from the beginning and I decided that I wanted to go somewhere where people were loyal. I choose Bucknell, starting my College basketball career.

My name: Chris Cooper. My game: Basketball. That's the way it always was. I was born in raised in the capital of the state of Connecticut, Hartford. Growing up I always was a huge fan of the Huskies. I never thought I could make it there, and rightfully so. Until my senior year my only real advantage was my height. However, the summer before my senior year all i did was work on ball handling and shooting. Now i can knock down any open three, and I have to admit I get to the basketball pretty well too. Being 6'7, I can dunk, which is always been an advantage to scouts.

We won the state championships in highschool my senior season, and I had the best game of my life that day, 32 points, 14 rebounds. I couldn't miss. I was spectacular. Connecticut was at that game and still didn't even take a sniff of recruiting me. That's fine by me, they are the ones missing out. I told the coach at Central Connecticut, if we played UConn once a year, I would happily sign their letter of intent. It's not every day Central Conneticut can sign a top notch three star, so it was an offer they couldn't refuse. One day when I am in the NBA and UConn's coach (Jim Calhoun) is sitting in his house watching me, he'll think 'I shoulda signed that kid.' Wait and see.

      Shooter/Slasher combo (I like to think )

Let's just say that college basketball isn't as easy as i thought. In my first game we played Princeton and lost 61-60... and I couldn't shoot. I shot too much too, because I was really chucking them up early. When I came out coach was really on my case, so I slowed down after that. I finished with 18 points on 6/16 shooting. I had 12 rebounds though so I earned my playing time, which I got a lot of. In our next game against Albany we got crushed. I played like crap again, only scoring 12 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Coach ran a players only meeting, and I kind of took over in that. Since I'm probably the unannounced captain, not mention best scorer passer and rebounder, I tried my best to pump the team up. They came out in our next game, against and we won by 1. I played alright, taking a back role to our other players. I finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds. In our last game against New Hampshire I really had my best game shooting. We won by a ton, and i shot 9 of 19, only shooting so much cause I was on fire.

I really gotta step up if I want to make it to the pro's
