Bob Ley (BL)-- Hello everyone we pardon the interruption but we have some breaking news from NFL Owner Meetings. The latest from John Clayton; NFL owners and Roger Goodell voted to start over. We bring in John Clayton to give us the info. Alright John what exactly happened today?John Clayton (JC)-- After long discussions and debating over this weekend the owners voted along with Commissioner Goodell 23-10 to starting the league over.
BL-- What exactly do you mean start over?
JC-- 2 weeks from now a 49 man draft with all 32 teams will happen. Every player in the league is draftable and the order will be decided at random. The draft will be a snake draft unlike last months rookie draft.
BL-- How did this end up happening?
JC-- Roger Goodell brought up the idea after seeing year in an year out the same teams dominating and same teams losing. He thought this would be great for the fans and 2/3, what was needed agreed. NFL Players Union also needed to okay the deal. The agreement that was made is the players kept the contracts as long as salary cap stayed the same and stayed in place.
BL-- You say every player is draftable does that even include the rookies drafted a month ago?
JC-- Yes it does Bob. Anyone from John Carney to Amobi Okoye to Peyton Manning can be drafted; no one is safe.
