BCU Hires Coach Ecker

Bethune Cookman University hires coach Walter Ecker, former coach of local high school Flagler- Palm Coast. He led them to a 67-8 record in three years, turning them into a Florida High School powerhouse. At Flagler he ran a very fast paced style of play. During his playing days, Walter Ecker played Point Guard for Jacksonville University. He is 27 years old and when asked about leaving Flagler he said, " I love the kids and program at Flagler-Palm Coast but it was impossible for me to turn down a division one college head coaching job this early in my career. Especially since it was from a nearby college." Only time will tell if this will be a good hire for BCU, but I think that this young coach and his interesting style of play will improve our team and program.
