Marlins Franchise Speed Kills(MVP) April

The Marlins will try and change the game of baseball by playing small ball and winning

The Marlins open up the season at home against Thome and the Phillies
They lose a high scoring affair but are winners in two pitching duels
Then then win 4 in a row before losing to the Mets 3-1 in the first of a three game set they then lose game 3 5-3 for there first series lost of the season
The Braves then do the same taking two of three from the Marlins but the Fish wake up as they go on to win 16 of the final 17 games in April
So at the end of the first month the Marlins are 1st place in the NL East at 22-6

The Marlins open up May by finshing a 4 game sweep of Arizona at Bank One Ballpark
Next up is a tough trip to Houston to face the NL Central leading Astros the Marlins are victorious in game 1 4-3 but then fall in Game 2 5-0 they then win the rubber game 9-4
The Marlins now return home to face the 23-6 Giants the Marlins take the first 2 games but cant complete the sweep as they fall 5-1 in game 3 this starts the Marlins longest losing streak of the season so far
They lose 5-4 to the Rockies leaving the tieing and winning runs on base in the bottom of the 9th in Game 2 they give up 2 homers to Larry Walker losing for the first time this season in extra innings 5-4 but the Marlins avoid the sweep behind 8 stong innings from Redman in a 3-1 win

I am just going to catch up to what I have done so far then I will continue to update and make it better

The Marlins 3-1 win over the Rockies is teh start of a 12 game Florida winning streak seperating them from the rest of the NL East they sweep San Diego winning 3-1, 4-3, and 5-4 they then sweep LA 4-1 in 19 innings, 8-4, and 5-0. They then get a big divisional sweep over Mon 10-6, 5-0, and 5-3. The Marlins win there next game over Cin 7-0 but then have there winning streak stopped 2-0 but win the series with a 11-6 win in teh 3rd game. The Marlins dont finish off May too well as they beat Mon 3-2, L 6-4, W 4-3 and L 3-2 they finsh off the month by beating Cin 2-1 and losing 2-0.

They then begin interleague play by facing Oak for the first time ever , the first 2 meeting are won by Oak 4-2, and 7-5 but aviod the sweep wit a 1-0 win behind a complete game 2 hit shutout from Burnett. Next up are the defending world champion Angles, the Marlins fall in the opener 2-0 but come back in game 2 wit a 4-0 win but the Angles win the series with a 8-1 win. The marlins then dip out of interleague play and sweep the Brewers 5-2, 5-2, and 5-1. They then use the DH for the 1st time this season as they head to Texas the Marlins are winners in the 1st 2 games 10-2, and 7-1 but cant get the sweep as the Rangers get the 3-2 win. The Marlins then head home for a four game divisional series. They take games 1 and 2 from the Mets both by the score of 2-1 but fall in game 3 10-3, in game 4 the Marlins win another close one 3-2. The marlins then take on there instate rival the D Rays. Games 1 and 2 go to the Marlins 3-1 and 1-0 but Tampa takes game 3 5-2. The Marlins then meet up with the Mets again this time at Shea. The marlins take game 1 5-2 but there bats then freeze as the Mets take the final 2 game 3-0 and 2-0
