So, Vince didn't win MVP, OR get on the All NBA Team..

Hmm.. Sounds weird to me with the season he had for you.

                Game 1 - ATL @ TOR

                @

                GAME 1, BEST OF 5

Toronto used their crowd to take early control of this game. Although they didn't shoot the ball well at all in this game, neither did Atlanta, due to Toronto's interior defense. At half time, Toronto led 51-41.

While still in control of the game, Vince Carter couldn't get it going, but Aaron McKie came off the bench and scored 25 points on 4/6 shooting from 3 range. He was the difference maker in this game, along with Moochie Norris. Moochie constantly drove for points or a dish all game long.

Atlanta loses this one on the road, 102-89.

                Vince Carter - 16 points
                Aaron McKie - 25 points
                Eddie Griffin - 18 points, 9 rebounds
                Jelani McCoy - 14 points, 9 rebounds
                Moochie Norris - 13 points, 7 assist

                Shareef Abdur-Rahim - 29 points, 24 rebounds
Jason Terry - 9 points (fouled out in the beginning of the 3rd)
                Glenn Robinson - 12 points
                Hawks - 35% FG's

                ------------------------
                PRESS CONFERENCE
? - Vince, although you guys won the game, do you feel that you will have to perform differently next game?
VC - Well some nights people just dont shoot the ball well, and all night, I was still trying to shoot, rather than trying to get to the cup. . . . You know, some people don't like playing defense when they aren't producing well offensively, but I at least tried to play D.
? - Aaron, describe your play off the bench tonight?
AM - I think I played well tonight. .. Tonight was one of those nights when I shot the ball well...
? - Coach, can your team play any better for next game?
LW - Well we played well tonight. We didn't shoot the ball well at all, but we rebounded and played good team defense inside. Although 'Reef had, I think 20 something rebounds, most of them were off of his own misses (crowd laughing). Its always important to win a game 1, but the series isn't over...

                    Game 1: LAL @ LAC

                    @

Los Angeles sends two teams to the post-season this year, but the Lakers are still the favorites. LAC however, is very capable of winning this series, however.

The Lakers were in control of this game to begin with. Shaquille O'Neal sent Mike Olowakandi to the bench early with foul trouble. In the second quarter, Lamar Odom really had his A game. Odom was the catalyst for this game, and he finished with 30 points and 5 boards. On the other end, Kobe was killing him, and Kobe finished with 25 points and 4 assist.

In the second half, the Clippers had to play catchup. While Shaq was still getting his points, James Posey got the assignment against Kobe, and Kobe scored 0 points in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Clippers chipped away at the lead, and with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter, they were up by 2. With a minute left and the game tied, Andre Miller shot an ill-advised 3 point shot with 20 second left on the shot clock, in which he missed badly. This gave LA a chance to win the game.

Obviously, they gave Shaq the ball, and they closed out the game. The Clippers gave the Lakers a scare, however the Lakers win 97-91.

                    Shaquille O'Neal - 44 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assist
                    Kobe Bryant - 25 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist
                    Derek Fisher - 4TO's, 11 assist

                    Lamar Odom - 30 points, 5 rebounds
                    Elton Brand - 25 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assist
