After a Spring full of trails and tribulations the Rangers set out on a mission. 7-6 during the spring the Rangers shook there lineup up before the start of the year.
Game 1: Ana 2 Tex 4
Notes: Kevin Mench hit 2 run shot to seal the victory in the 9th.
Yan 1-0
Washburn 0-1
Urbina SV(1)
Game 2:
The Rangers blew the Angels out knocking both Ramon Ortiz and the Rally Monkey out. John Thompson threw a CG 9 hitter allowing 2 runs both earned and in the 9th.

Ortiz 0-1
The Rangers also announce that Todd Greene has been benched after starting the season 0-7 all GB...ulitilty player Manny Alexander will be catching Game 3. Alexander made the club out of Spring training beating out Blalock, Lamb and Perry to start the season as the third baseman. -

the Rangers ended there season opening road trip with a dissappointing 3-1 loss. Kevin Appier dominated the whole game allowing only 4 hits and 1 run.
Appier 1-0
Benoit 0-1
Game 4 was a different story Doug davis came out throwing hard and accurate. He pitched the Complete game Shut out. Scatering 8 hits and striking out 6. Arod hit his 300 career home run during this game...Final score 3-0

Moyer 0-1
Rumor mills around the internet have said that the Rangers are intersted in trading Carl Everett to either LA or TB. John Hart confrimed these rumors saying that Carl needed to step up or he'd be shown the door. The Rumors said the Rangers were working on aquiring either Brazelton from TB or Quantrill from LA.

Game 5
M's vs. Rangers
Following up Davis proformance the Texas Rangers sent Chan Ho Park out to the mound.
Park threw 7 1/3 innings allowing 6 hits 4 walks and striking out 9 he allowed 2 runs in the No desicion.
Aaron Fultz Came in and shut the door. Urbina got his 2nd save of the year.
In the Bottom of the 8th Mike Young's 2 run shot knocked the M's out of the game 3-2 was the final.
Fultz 1-0
Nelson 0-1

Game 6:
In the Most Suspenseful game of the year so far. The Rangers lost to the M's 8-5
In all happened in the top of the ninth when Estaban Yan allowed 2 hits and int walked Davis to get the bases loaded. After striking out the next batter Yan left so Urbina could try to save the Game. He failed allowing a Grand Slam to Willie Bloomquist.
Valdes threw a poor 7 innings allowing 14 hits.

Rumors contine to circulate around the league involving the Rangers. The Rangers are in need of a Catcher badly.
