It seemed like everything went right for the Red Sox today. They got the bats working and got an excellent performance from their ace . Pedro got the complete game shutout and takes the win in the 1st of this 4 game series in Tampa Bay.

The Red Sox were able to get together 3 hits, 2 of which were homers. It wasn't enough as the Red Sox lose 3-2 . Damon was on 2nd in the top of the 9th with Nomar up, but Nomar flew out to deep center.
