BRAVES WIN AGAIN IN THEIR LAST AT BAT

The Atlanta Braves won their second consecutive game on their last at bat. However this game was a marathon 19 inning game.

"I think everybody is exhausted from this game," said Left Fielder Chipper Jones, "I think both teams will still be feeling the effects of this game during tomorrows game."

The Braves had to come from behind three times in the game. Eventually tying the game in the bottom of the ninth inning to eventually send the game through ten extra innings just to decide a winner.

It all ended in the bottom of the nineteenth inning and here's TBS announcer Don Sutton with the call.

"Robert Fick at the plate and there are runners on first and second with two outs in the bottom of the 19th inning. 1-2 count, Day delivers, and Fick pops up to center, but wilkerson loses it and the run comes around. BRAVES WIN

          EXPOS AVOID SWEEP

It took a two out rbi single from Jose Vidro to give the lead to the Montreal Expos for good in the top of the seventh inning. Ray King was brought in to help preserve a tie, at least until the bottom of that inning, but he couldn't and allowed what would end up being the game winning run.

"All three games were close," said Manager Bobby Cox "As long as you win more than you lose every series you should be near the top of the league.

Robert Fick drove in his second run in the bottom of the eleventh inning to the delight of the fans at Turner Field as the Braves picked up the 3-2 victory.

"We played with tremendous heart for all eleven of those innings, we wren't like some teams where they pack in it after giving up the game tying home run in the top of the ninth. No, no that's not what we do, we play our asses off for however long the game goes, whether it be 9 innings or 19 innings like the other night. Because when you play to win, well nothing else matters." said manager Bobby Cox.
