    GAME 1

    Starters:
    DET - Mike Maroth
    MIN - Brad Radke

In the early going, it looked as if the Tigers would start out this year as they normally do, on a losing streak. Jacque Jones reached on a bunt signal, and was driven in by an inside the park homerun by Christian Guzman, giving the Twins an early lead. The Tigers, however, battled back, and made it a contest. Going into the bottom of the eighth, it was a tie ball game, square at five apiece. The Tigers rallied for three runs, and held the Twins in the 9th to earn the 8-5 victory in the season opener.

    WP - Maroth (1-0)
    LP - Fiore (0-1)
    HR - Koskie (1), Guzman (1), Young (1)

Player of the Game - Bobby Higginson
    3-5, 2B, 3 RBI

    Santiago - 3-5, RBI, SB, 2 Runs
    Young - 2-5, HR, 2 RBI

    Guzman - 3-5, HR, 2B, RBI, 3 Runs
    Koskie - 2-4, HR, 4 RBI

Playing World Series Baseball 2k3, like the title of the thread states, and I'm using XCell's sliders.

This game started almost exactly like the last, as Jones singled to lead things off, and Guzman followed with a two run blast. This time around, however, the Twins had no problems holding down the offense of the Tigers, and took the game, 8-3.
