Questions on Dynasty Threads

I used to do Dynasty threads a few years ago on a sports page that eventually folded and have a few questions on how it works around here. I was wondering if most people do it in an actual thread or if some people use their blog for it? Also, it sounds like there is a lot of traffic on this area and want to know how many people actually follow these or if I'm going to be kind of shunned because I have a low post count because I'm new (that happened a lot on the old board I was on)? And can I use like Photoshopped images in my thread for like a scoreboard layout to make things look nicer? Any input would be appreciated! Hope to be making a dynasty for all to enjoy soon!

I'll be the first to say that post count doesn't matter in this area. If you have a good, presentable dynasty, we'll follow. A lot of people do it right in the thread, though I've seen a lot done through the personal blog, but I usually don't keep up with the ones through the blog (not sure why, probably because it's not in my face whenever I go to the Dynasty HQ). I've seen a ton of people with some great templates and such, so I'm sure you can Photoshop whatever you want and throw it in the thread.

If it's a good read and has some pictures to go along with it, I think people will follow. It depends how often you update it. A lot of dynasties get started that have a lot of potential but then disappear.

Anything in particular I should do that makes my dynasty pop out from others and maintain people's interest (minus updating a lot) that you can recommend to me? Other than that I'm looking forward to seeing if I can get something started in the next few days!

People love stats around here, so be sure to give them those, but don't over-do it too. Because if you start givin the Top-25 for college basketball every week with stats leaders, you're almost compelled to do it every week. Do what you think you can handle so it doesn't become a chore and continues to be a fun leisure activity.
