Dynasty Manager?

I am not sure where to post this, but figured this might be a good spot. Hopefully, DM and OS are friends and I can talk about the other at each place. If not, feel free to delete.

Anyway, I signed up for DM two nights ago, and after a day, I was finally able to log-in. But, now, when I hit "Go to Administrator Page", it takes me to the Sports-Trackers page. Then, from there I click Manage Page, and it essentially just refreshes the page and takes me right back there. So, I am supposedly logged in, but I cannot accss any of my pages to start posting a new Dynasty. This is incredibly frustrating, and even more annoying is the fact that the owner of the site will not return my emails. I understand that he might be busy, but if someone is offering a product for purchase (which I have bought) they need to expect to give quick help when it is needed.

I also never received my confirmation email from their message boards, which I noticed someone else having that same problem. And you are unable to post on their boards until you activate your account, which is why I need to ask this question here and am unable to do so there.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and been able to get a fix for it? I really wanted to post my new dynasty this weekend, but now I have to get up to teach class in the morning, so that won't be happening until next weekend. So, can someone help ease my frustration? Thanks for the help.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, I sent him an email and he replied rather quickly. It took maybe 2 hours before I was able to get it up and going.

If you didn't already know, they just re-did the entire site, so it's understandable that it would take a while.

I didn't realize the rebuild was so recent, no. But, either way, I still cannot get on there to access my page, and he STILL hasn't responded back to my email. That is bad business, no matter how recent the rebuild was. I am going to try again, but needless to say I am very disappointed with my recent purchase right now. Thanks for responding!

Also, out of curiosity, when you sign in, and then click Go to Admin Page, where does it take you? And where does it take you when you click Manage Page? What happens to me is that it starts to go to dynastymanager.com/admin-area.php, then redirects back to the season trackers page.

To update- I finally got an email back (after telling that I would have to request a refund unless I heard from them), and they got it working. But, I still can't get on the message boards over there...

I gave up on the message boards, you can get alot of help here, and you can still read what other people have to say, I've tried 5-6 times, but I think it might be part of the rebuild.

Pretty sure the message board is seperate from the site. When I used to go there I had to register for the forums and everything and had a seperate username then from what was on the site.

BTW dynastycentral was better, too bad we shut down.

It is separate, which is the problem. I never used Dynasty Central...but, if it was so great, why did it shut down? And I don't mean that in a "ooooooo, burnzzzz" way, I am just legitimately curious why it shut down. I think the more sites this that, the better! I like Avid Dynasty Manager for NCAA Football games, if anyone has used that? It's free, and pretty neat.

It is separate, which is the problem. I never used Dynasty Central...but, if it was so great, why did it shut down? And I don't mean that in a "ooooooo, burnzzzz" way, I am just legitimately curious why it shut down. I think the more sites this that, the better! DC shut down because it got to be too much for the owner to handle. He tried selling it, but no buyers. He had to shut it down, but the forums are still there (http://dyncentral.proboards.com/index.cgi).

I have also signed up with Avid Dynasty today to start a Pitt Panthers dynasty. I like it so far, as there are pretty much nothing that i need to html. Everything is there. Just took some time to figure some of the stuff out.

Agreed, DC alum and we were always the superior site haha. Weire about DM though.

I had the exact same problem with them about a year ago and they simply would not get back to me. It was like a week or more of emailing them and trying numerous times to start my dynasty.

In the end I got so mad and sent a pretty angry email to the owner of the site and he sent me an email back making me feel guilty for how busy he'd been and refunded my money without even asking if I wanted a refund.

He basically denied me access to the services because I eventually became upset with his lack of attention to my problem.

Bogus. Honestly, this site is better anyways. I think you'll get more views and feedback here.

Yeah, OBG, to be honest, now that I have access to the site, I kind of wish I just had my $6 back. I really don't like how clumsy everything seems to be for me. Oh well, live and learn. I am just ecstatic I didn't purchase anything more than a 6-month membership. The fact that I can't access their message board is unacceptable, in my opinion, and I really don't like the fact that I had to pay for something that is less user-friendly than other things I get to use for free. Again, live and learn...hopefully this will help someone else not make the same mistake we have.

Is this site completely dead now? If so, that's no good. I love sites like this.
