Rebuilding a great nation: Central Mich Chippewas NCAA 2004

I'm not gonna get as indepth as some, but I'm starting as Central Mich, on AA level. I'm gonna see if I can get them to a better conference, then I'll move on to a higher profile job, hopefully ending up at Michigan one of these years.

    First game against Michigan:

If a tie is like kissing your sister, I'd make out with her all night long compared to taking this 45-0 clubbing by Michigan. It was uglier than watching the Detroit Tigers play, my d-line couldn't do a thing against their O-line, and I had to play zone all the time, cause they'd shred me in 1-1 coverage. Marlin's good too, had a pick. It was painful to play.

    0-1 to start the season.

    Game 2 vs. New Hampshire

I score early with a nice run, they counter in the 2nd quarter to tie it at 7. We swap punts and turnovers until 3 mins left in the 4th quarter, when NH drives to score with 1:40 left. 14-7. I drive right back, but run out of time outs. One play, at the NH 14, time running out, can't stop it. I get intercepted in the endzone
Made my Greatest Games list with a 1272, pretty cool game, even though I lost.

0-2, looks like Kelly-Short Stadium is nearly empty for a reason. I might get fired if I keep this up

    Game 3 vs Northern Illinois.

Vindication. Vickers and the HB (I forget his name) lead the Chip offense to a 35-0 win, with a 3 sack effort by the left DE. This victory felt earned, after the 2 previous losses.

1-2 to start the season, hopefully the MAC season will turn out better. The talent isn't quite there yet, but I can recruit better players and improve this team so Mt. Pleasant rocks after each win! Michigan will have to come to Central to play one year, I'll make it happen

    Game 4 at Ball State:

Went up 7-0 early, but by the end of the 3rd quarter I was down 14-7. I charge back to tie it, and then stop the Ball St offense, forcing them to punt. I drive down the field, using my timeouts, and score with 45 secs remaining. My D shuts them down, and I win 21-14.

Central's now 2-2, but I'm thinking of promoting my backup QB to replace Vickers, the starter. He's just not getting it done.
