THUNDERING HERD SURVIVE A BIT OF A SCARE FROM....HOFSTRA???

The Marshall Thundering Herd jumped out to an early 17-0 lead on their first three drives of the game due to a 93 yard catch and run, an 8 yard pass, and a 40 yard field goal. However, the Herd underestimated the Pride of Hofstra. as they came back and score 17 unanswered point to notch the game up at 17-17.

A clutch 41 yard field goal from K#18 with just four seconds remaining until the halftime gun put the thundering herd into a lead that wouldn't even come close to being touch for the rest of the game.

One huge disappointment though for the Herd was the turnovers. They had three giveaways during the game al by way of interception.

However the Herd also had four take aways which included two fumble recoveries and two interceptions from CB#28, one of which was brought back all the way 77 yards for the touchdown.

    Straight From Coach Peterson

"I wasn't exactly pleased with how many turnovers we gave up, especially since they were all by the way of interceptions. We shouldn't be throwing that many aganist any team, let alone a team like Hofstra. If they could do that to us, imagine what a team like Oklahoma or Texas could do to us. They could hand out asses to us on a silver platter if we liked and that something that we have to and will work on in preperation for the next game"

Other Game Notes: The Herd was flagged twice for unsportsman like conduct due to touchdown celebrations. The first was after the 93 yard catch and run by #82 who did the Heisman pose in the endzone following the touchdown. The second was by CB#28 after his 77 yard interception returned for a touchdown, he threw the ball into the stands and was flagged for it.

Notes to Readers: I am accepting 10 questions for a press confrence that I'm doing before my next game aganist #17 Tennesee. Feel Free to post them here and I will answer them when I get ten.
