How is everyone. I've been lurking here for 3 years and finally found a reason to post something. I've had a look at the threads about excel spreadsheets and noticed u guys usually book with a semblance of what's currently goin on in the real UFC. My format is a bit different. At the release of UFC 3 I decided to run pride and UFC consecutively.
I divided the rosters in half and then began my booking.
Every fighter was signed to a 3 fight contract with UFC or pride with the option For either company to terminate at anytime. I basically took the rankings back to 2004. Nog and crocop as top guys in pride and arlovski Sylvia as the ufcs go to guys. I have had so many great moments with this game and guys getting upset and rivalries forming.
I book like so. I sign 5 fights for event mode and then run 5 pride fights for the same month.
Injury simulation revised as of year 5. starting on year 5 and beyond i will post any injuries or surgeries in my fight results. year 1 thru 4 dosent let u know the specific injury.
1) If a guy gets knocked out and can't even sit up after the fight I count this as an injury and don't book the guy again for atleast 3 months on top of his downtime to train for the next fight as well. were talking 5 to 6 months of being on the sideline.
2) If a guy gets ko and then can't stand but can sit up after the fight, I count this as an injury and wont book the guy for 2 months on top of downtime and training. not as severe an injury as above and sideline time could be 4 to 5 months
3) if a guy gets injured 3 times in a row be it ko or leg tko it will count as a major injury and will require surgery and 1 year on the sideline
4)Leg kick tkos count as a fracture 3 months of injury time.
5)2 consecutive leg kick tkos or 2 within the same year is considered a broken leg 1 year off for surgery
6)Getting subbed 2 times in a row on the same appendage will count as a fracture and will get u a 4 month layoff
7)getting subbed 3 times in a row within the same year on the same appendage is considered a break and will require surgery and 14 months down time
8) finally getting ko 3 times in a row will equal an injury as well.
known injuries are
broken nose, broken jaw, broken orbital bone, broken or fractured leg and cuncussion for strikes that land behind the ear or knees to the head from sprawl
I'd like to hear how u guys run ur league and what breakout stories have u had. I know on mine
Liddell was 9-1 before losing his title to rampage. He then got ko by Evans and lastly ko by Tito Ortiz with a straiht right in thier rematch which in my mind should've been a tune up fight.
Lesnar is the #1 contender at heavyweight losing to the current champ big nog and also lost a fight early on to arlovski by guillotine. They just had a rematch and he will be meeting nog again.
Other highlights include shogun winning the first ever pride lhw gp
Coming to UFC destroying Forrest then getting ko by Liddell in thief title match. He is currently slated to face Ortiz fresh off his Liddell win in a match that should paint a clear picture of who's getting a title shot after Evans.
Anderson silva is the middleweight king. His only loss came From a submission
he was caught in by top 5 fighter bustamante early on in pride. He's destroyed
everyone put in front of him with Franklin being his toughest fight in the UFC.
How bout gsp winning the title on his 4th fight against Hughes then dropping the title to Royce Gracie in Royce first fight. Royce was given the shot as an old vs new dynamic. He then faced off with Anthony Johnson only to lose a very controversial split decision.
Or overeem goin 2 and 5 in pride then comin to heavyweight to take out rothwell and Nelson so far. I will post all 4 yeArs of results when I get home today.
