    Personal Favorite Dynasties

Doesn't have to be a posted dynasty, it can go as far back as you want:

What are some of the dynasties you have done that you loved? Simmed, played, BeAPro/MyCareer, dynasties that stick in your mind.

      Game: Madden NFL 12
      Team: Tampa Bay Bucs
      (Players):
Most of my notables were from the draft classes (Jaelin Gibson, my Cohen & Cohen CB/SS combo on one side of the field).
      (Platform): PS3
(Achievements): Won a couple Super Bowls, had a pretty consistent solid club overall.
Summary:Twelve-year franchise that I still do have on my system. Started from the real Bucs roster and then progressed deep into the draft classes. First couple years were around .500, then when Jaelin Gibson (MLB) came around, the defense started improving, which got back to the 2001 Bucs sort of teams, defense first, enough offense to win. Then, as the NFL players mostly retired, it became a league where the fictional kids came around, changing the dynamics. I still remember Khary Thomas, the fictional HB the Panthers had that would kick my butt most times, even when the Bucs won the game. Became something of a rivalry with just him and of course his team.

Game: OOTP4 (can't remember exactly, but it was an old, old version, prior to OOTP6)
Team: Boston Red Sox (in an online sim league)
      (Platform): PC
(Achievements):Re-wrote history by winning 1986 WS was the most memorable.
      Summary:
This was an online sim league. I got the Red Sox to the WS in the league's 1986 and the Mets, who were a powerhouse as well, made it as well. No Buckner's here as I was able to take the WS in seven hard-fought games.

Game: FBPro 98 (using VPNFL in an online sim league)
      Team: Arizona Cardinals
      (Platform):PC
(Achievements):Took a rebuilding team to Super Bowl in second year.
      Summary:
Took over a struggling Cardinals franchise and got them going to a 11-5 record in my second year. Advanced to the Super Bowl using what would now be called a Read Option style of offense (I had Tuiasosopo and Akili Smith, both were rated as fast mobile QBs and I used the gameplan that utilized their mobility) and a punishing defense. Basically, the Seattle Seahawks of last year.

Sadly, though, my team came up short in the Super Bowl. One pivotal play was getting stuffed on the goal line. Those points game back to bite in a low-scoring contest. I won Coach of the Year, though, so it wasn't all bad.

        Personal Favorite Dynasties

        Game: NBA 2k13
Team: Generated High School, Polk High School
(Players): Michael Kane - 74 (My Player)
        Troy Monroe - 91 (Fake)
The rest was a mixture between upperclassmen and also lower.
        (Platform): Xbox 360
(Achievements): Troy Monroe won the MVP, would be Ohio Mr. Basketball if the terms translated to real HS.
Summary: The team went 18-1 and won the state championship. I let an OS member control the coaching lineups so while I started as a bench warmer, eventually the sophomore in Michael Kane broke into the starting lineup and become the second best player on the team behind highly ranked Troy Monroe.

It was very fun to play a different perspective of the game.

          Re: Personal Favorite Dynasties

          Of mine that I've done:

          Game: NCAA Football 10
          Team: Middle Tennessee
(Players): (Don't remember the name, but I had this blazing fast QB who broke a ton of NCAA records in the run game)
          (Platform): X360
(Achievements): 3 straight NCs before moving on to Tennessee and winning two more in a row before I got 12.
Summary: This is one of my all time favorites. I ran a spread option O (as I have on most iterations of this game, there being one exception, which I'll get to.) and my QB basically ran all over the place.

          Game: NCAA FB 12
          Team: Florida Atlantic
(Players): A created QB named Robert Waller as well as a generated QB by the name of Garcia (don't remember first name, he was a 2-star recruit coming in and ended up a 93 oa beast)
          (Platform): X360
(Achievements): 2 straight NCs. Multiple Heismans and other awards for Waller and my RB (whose name escapes me.)
Summary: Used a modified version of GT's playbook (including Gator Heavy, which I'd torch teams with using QB Blast and Sweep.)

          Game: NCAA Basketball 09
          Team: Valparaiso
(Players): A created SG led this team, along with a recruited PG by the name of Henderson and an SF whose first name was Jason (can't come up with his last name right now.) who was basically a steal machine
          (Platform): X360
(Achievements): 4 straight NCs and an invite to the Big 10 before I stopped playing this dynasty.
Summary: I'm honestly not sure how many games I lost in this dynasty, truth be told. This game was basically too easy for me at this point. I had another one with GA State in which I altered no players and won the NC in my first season with a C+ team, as well as one with Howard in which I went undefeated in the regular season with a D- team before I gave up on the game entirely and got CH2k8.
          MLB: Minnesota Twins
          NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
          NBA: Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves
European Football: Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion
          NCAA: UNI Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes

              Game: Madden 12
              Team: Detroit Lions
Players: Me, HB Quentin Thomas, Calvin Johnson
              Platform: PS3
              Acheivements: None
Summary: Probably the dynasty I had the most fun with. I went 7-9 year one, then 5-11 year two. I was going to play Season 3, but then I decided to get Madden 25 instead. I also created my friends as players and reported their stats via Twitter. I actually only played a few games, but most games I watched by using the CPU vs. CPU feature.

              Game: NBA 2k12
              Team: Detroit Pistons
Players: Vince Vaughn, Colin Matheiu, Carson Collins, Tracy Brown, Greg Rhymold
              Platform: PS3
Acheivements: Losing to Oklahoma City in the NBA Finals | Season 2
Summary: Another fun dynasty I played before finding OS. Year One I simmed the playoffs, I lost in the ECF. Year 2 I played the playoffs and went all the way to the finals. BTW, my starting 5 was all created players.

                (Players): (Don't remember them all)
                (Platform): Xbox
(Achievements): 8 Straight Undefeated national titles, 5 heismans, 8 Coach of the years, 100's of AA
Summary: This is my greatest dynasty ever. It got to a point where I always had the #1 recruiting class. Got any player I wanted. I also only ended up drafting Hawaii players in my Madden chise at the time. I love having the momentum meter and everything in that game, the Aloha Bowl was always rocking on fall saturdays in you the Lulu.

                  Game: NCAA 11
                  Team: FSU 2017-2029
                  Players: All CPU created
                  Platform: 360
Acheivements: 10x ACC Champs, 3x National Champs, 1 season undefeated w/ Orange Bowl win
Summary: Took the job after having been with north Texas & UConn, struggled to break into national title game because the ACC was totally horrible by that time so the schedule was weak. Also I had EPIC games v Florida, always scheduled for last game of the year. I'd keep them from finishing the reg season undefeated then they'd do the same right back the next year. Also the rivalry with Miami was solid because they were so good but I dominated them.

                  Game: CHoops 08
Team: Central Arkansas- Hawaii- Missouri State- Missouri- UNC
                  Players: CPU created
                  Platform: 360
Acheivements: 8x conference champs, 16x tournament appearances, 3x national titles
Summary: Truly climbed the coaching ladder in this one. Once I reached UNC I was never guaranteed a title since the tournament was so tough to get through.

I would still be playing this today but like a total idiot I saved over it accidentally & didn't have a backup... Its been said a million times kids ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP!!!!!!! ALWAYS

                    Re: Personal Favorite Dynasties

I've got three that stand out:

                    NCAA 2003
I started off with my Vols, but left after three years to rebuild Clemson. Beat out Tennessee for a 4-star QB named Derek Martin. Signed a 2-star RB named Corey Waller that I just did really well with. And later added a 4-star receiver named Andre Meadows.

Waller won the Heisman his junior year, then bolted to the pros, but he didn't make the cut into Madden. Won a couple of national titles with Clemson and then went to Florida State, but I only played one season with them.

                    NCAA 2004
Played 10 seasons - a personal record - all with the Vols. The first offseason the #1 QB in the nation was from Martin, TN - Zak Hurd. He took over his sophomore year and led me to a national title his junior year. We lost to Texas in the title game his senior year. That started a great rivalry with Texas.

But my favorite player from that dynasty was a WR named Rocco Erwin. He was 99 speed as a freshman. He was my Reggie Bush. I put him at slot receiver, at running back, he returned kicks and punts and he even played some dime defensive back one year when I was thin in the secondary. I had a five-wide formation where he'd come under a WR for a screen. He was lethal on that play. If not for injuries, he would have won a couple of Heismans.

                    Madden 09
I only played four seasons - but that's a record for me on Madden. Played as the Texans. Steve Slaton became a 99-overall beast. I drafted a free safety my first year named Jason Parker who was a stud. Seems like I drafted a stud receiver to go along with Johnson too.

Went to the Super Bowl all four years. We lost to the Saints in the first year, then beat the Eagles three years in a row. It got boring having the same Super Bowl matchup every year.

                      Re: Personal Favorite Dynasties

                      A few of my favorites:

NCAA 07 - Massachusetts State Mountaineers
Created school I put very close to the spotlight upon creation. Moved them from the Big East to the ACC to compete with arch-nemesis' Luke U Ice Monsters (my brother's created school). This was the dynasty I referred to as Quarterback U. Started with junior Emile Britton, who won the Heisman his senior year. After him came Christian Morrison, a redshirt sophomore who was an absolute beast, school's best ever no question. Won 2 Heismans in his So. and Jr. years, returned for his senior year and got 2nd to a Luke U guy. After him came Charles Rivers, a scrambler perfectly built for my spread/option offense. Another Heisman runner-up. A few seasons later came Andrew Thomas, another 2-time Heisman winner. But the big highlight of my dynasty was the 6 way QB battle I had when Thomas left. I had recruited 2 guys to compete for the starting gig. One scrambler frosh and a pocket passer JUCO transfer. But during the offseason, 4 guys i didn't recruit committed and set of a 6 way train wreck for the QB gig. That true frosh? Ended up 6th.
All said, we won a few national titles in the 15 year dynasty, with unforgettable players like 3 star gem SS Josh Craft, All-Everything LB Raymond Castillo, 6'6 WR Kris Bullocks and others to go with those QB's. This dynasty would still be running, but I accidentally corrupted the file in about November.

NCAA March Madness 06 - Bowling Green Falcons
Brought the Falcons into the Big 10, and the most memorable thing about that dynasty was bringing them to the Final Four as a 10-seed in year 3. So long ago though, I can't remember any of the players or the major happenings.

MLB 06 The Show - Arizona Diamondbacks
By far the best Franchise I've ever done. Had an insane rotation led by phenom Brock Boyce as my 1 (he threw 4 or 5 no-hitters for us), 2 starters (can't remember who, one might have been Doc Halladay) who were capable of 15 wins a season, my 4 was a knuckleball specialist and my 5 was Miguel Batista, who had blossomed into a good pitcher who got 10-15 wins a season for us. Our lineup was headed by our 5'7 center fielder Blair Spencer who had speed and was capable of 30 homers. Can't remember everyone, but I know for sure we had Paul Konerko at the 3, and he hit 40 homers a year, and Marcus Giles at 2nd base, a perennial All-Star. Big highlight was the year we went 119-43 haha. Can't remember if we won any World Series' or not though...that was our big achilles in that dynasty.

6x Super Bowl Champion Patriots |Red Sox | Celtics | Bruins |Boston College | USC | NASCAR Young Guns

                      OS' biggest game show nut.
