I started off the year with a win against the Yankees, and then proceeded to lose 7 straight, thanks to horrific pitching and practically no hitting. My team ERA ballooned to near 9 and my batting average hovered around the Mendoza line. However, over the past two weeks, I have turned things around, thanks to strong performances by Rocco Baldelli, Aubrey Huff, Julio Lugo, Victor Zambrano, and Dewon Brazelton.
My team batting average is currently .239, revealing my real weakness. However, I do have 28 home runs, placing me second in the league behind the Yanks. My team ERA is 4.90, a considerable improvement. I have had a lot of low scoring games as of late, aside from my 17-1 (9 home runs!!!)shanking of the White Sox. The funny thing is I mustered only 4 hits the following day.
Here are my batting leaders:
Rocco Baldelli (.311 avg., 7 HR, 15 RBI, 14 runs, 5 SB)
Aubrey Huff (.323 avg., 4 HR, 11 RBI, 12 runs, 5 2B)
Julio Lugo (.187 avg., 5 HR, 10 RBI, 8 runs, 1 SB)
Juan Cruz (.193 avg., 3 HR, 8 RBI, 9 runs, 1 SB)
Tino Martinez (.245 avg., 2 HR, 9 RBI, 7 runs)
Geoff Blum (.279 avg., 3 RBI, 5 2B)
Jamal Crawford (.188 avg., 8 SB, 10 runs)
Damian Rolls (.183 avg., 4 HR, 5 RBI, 4 runs)
These are my pitching stats:
Victor Zambrano (2-2, 2.73 ERA, 17 SO, 4 BB, 27.0 inn., 4 GS)
Dewon Brazelton (0-1, 1.03 ERA, 11 SO, 2 BB, 25.0 inn, 3 GS)
Damion Moss (1-1, 3.24 ERA, 9 SO, 3 BB, 19.1 inn, 3 GS)
Jorge Sosa (1-1, 4.47 ERA, 9 SO, 2 BB, 23.0 inn, 4 GS)
Danys Baez (4 SV, 2 SO, 2.21 ERA)
Travis Miller (1-0, 0.97 ERA, 5 SO, 9.1 inn)
Lance Carter (1-1, 3.87 ERA, 7.2 inn)
I will continue to update this dynasty as I progress.
