    Safeco Field- Seattle, WA

Both starting pitchers did not allow runs in the first inning, but Raul Ibanez of the Mariners scored of an RBI double by Randy Winn in the second inning.

An RBI double of the Angels in the fourth, tied the game at one and another RBI double gave them the lead.

An Angel solo-homer in the sixth was too much for the Mariners and they pulled out Freddy Garcia, replacing him with Soriano.

Antoher Anaheim two-run homer came in the seventh, which looked to seal the game.

          Griffey Back Home? Trade Rumors

          April 6th, 2004
          Seattle, WA

Could Ken Griffey return home, back to Seattle? It sure looks like it. The new Mariners, who just came off a season opener loss, are led by Manager, DL Baller as he stated, "It would be a blessing to see Griffey back in a Mariners uniform."

The Cincinnati Reds say they are willing to trade Griffey to the Mariners. Trade talks have been flourishing since the offseason and a trade could work for both teams. But who will go where? The Reds could use a pitcher and a replacement outfielder, if a trade goes down. Perhaps Seattle could send Gil Meche or Ryan Franklin with Randy Winn to Cinncinati in exchange for Ken Griffey Jr.

More information will be available as time continues...
