Wayne was drafted in the 7th round by the New York Mets, he was assigned to (SSA) Brooklyn His first season was going great and he was the Cyclones ace until a Torn Shoulder Ligament in his right throwing arm ended his season. In 2003 he still wasn't recovered and the 21 year old was released, he is will open the year with the New Jersey Jackels in the North Atlantic League.
