Cris Carter to Leave ESPN, Accepts Role of GM for Vikings
Breaking news in the sports world today, as former Viking wide receiver, and now former analyst, has been hired on to handle the front office for the team put up so many great performances for. Carter was questioned if his pull with the fans had to do with the team pulling the trigger on him, opposed to going after someone with more experience. He was quoted as saying "I love this city, team, and it's fans. And if they love me too, I can only be thankful for being so popular." He laughed at his joke before hanging up saying he had a flight to catch.
Hopefully he'll still be laughing in a few years, and won't be on the chopping block.Comment

Carter's First Move a Big One, Peterson Traded
37 hours after being officially introduced as the next general manager for the Minnesota Vikings, Cris Carter has changed the NFL as we know it. No longer will Adrian Peterson be wearing purple. After being involved in multiple off the field incidents, Cris Carter was quoted saying, "As a fan of this franchise it's tough you know. Adrian has been here for 7 years, and it's extremely disappointing that he's leaving like this. But, I can't be a fan anymore, I have to do what's best for this team, and that's what I felt I accomplished today. It might not look like it, but we have to rebuild. I wish Adrian and his family all the luck in Jacksonville, and hope he continues his Hall of Fame career."
Wait, what!? That's right, for a 3rd round selection in this upcoming draft, Peterson and his 12 million dollar salary, will be headed down south to become a Jaguar. The fans seem outraged. On my radio show this morning one fan had this to say. "It's ridiculous. How can you do that to a guy who's put so much into this organization, and even worse. He did it to us, the fans. Peterson's jersey is all over the state, and now it's nothing more than expensive fabric to hang in our closets for years to come. I, and this city has been betrayed by our former hero."
That, as harsh as it was, wasn't the only outlook:
"It was smart. He could be suspended at this point. Getting a 3rd round pick out of it was way better than outright cutting the guy. We love Adrian sure, but it's time to move on."Comment
