        MERRY CHRISTMAS!

        MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This is the most anticipated game of the season, by far. Kobe and his struggling Lakers take on Dwyane Wade's Heat, who have been without Shaq for most of the season with an injury. Shaq has just come back from injury, and is not at full health.

This was an exciting game, which is nothing below expectations. It was a high scoring affair, and there were a lot of padded stats. However, the most surprising thing is that Shaq only finished with 4 points, but 16 rebounds and 5 assist. Dwyane Wade and Eddie Jones were able to carry most of the scoring load for the Heat.

On the other side of the ball, Kobe brought his A-Game back to LA. Kobe Bryant played a superb game with 24 points and 10 rebounds. The Lakers were too much for the Heat, and won the game in double-overtime, 129-121.

Kobe Bryant 24 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assist
Karl Malone 20 points, 6 rebounds
Lamar Odom 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assist
Kareem Rush 19 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assist

Dwyane Wade 21 points, 9 assist, 7 rebounds
Eddie Jones 27 points, 5 assist, 4 rebounds
        Rasual Butler 20 points
        Shaquille O'Neal 4 points, 2/12 FGs, 16 rebounds, 5 assist

For a second there in your Houston recap i thought it said McGrady suffered a stroke lol
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

                Possible Trades

Rafer Alston was put on the trading block about 2 weeks ago, but Toronto is actually exploring options with Orlando. With their addition of Mike Miller and Kirk Hinrich, and the loss of Chris Bosh, it is a big need to pick up another big man. Right now, the offer sheet says Rafer Alston for Dwight Howard and Keith Bogans, second year player from Kentucky.

Re: Holiday Spirits - Bobcats In December [ESPN 2K5]

These two teams have had some good games this year. It also projected to be another good rivalry in today's NBA. The last time these teams met, Stephon Marbury scorched the Bobcats with 42 points, and it was not a sight to see for Bobcats fans.

This game, in New York, was a classic from the beginning. Defense was key for both teams, as the score was only 21-16 at the end of one in favor of the Knicks. In the second quarter however, Jason Kapono and Melvin Ely were heating up, and they would provide the firepower for the 'Cats this game.

Allan Houston was putting up decent points as well, but he would soon cool off. At the end of the half, the play got sloppy, but the Bobcats were up 43-41.

In the second half, Marbury continued to stay aggressive offensively, but had to take a lot of shots to put up only 18 points for the game. Nazr Mohammed was the key, and he paced the Knicks in the second half. The Bobcats were down by 7 with 2 minutes in the 4th quarter. Kapono hit a few big shots, and tied the game all by himself. New York and Charlotte would go into overtime.

In the overtime period, Charlotte continued to pound the ball inside to Melvin Ely, and the Knicks couldn't handle him. The Bobcats win in OT in a classic, 96-91.

                    Charlotte Bobcats
Jason Kapono 38 points, 6 rebounds (off the bench)
Melvin Ely 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 9 blocks
Emeka Okafor 18 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assist
                    Brevin Knight 7 assist

                    New York Knicks
Stephon Marbury 18 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assist
Nazr Mohammed 16 points, 12 rebounds
Kurt Thomas 14 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assist, 4 steals

                        Charlotte goes to the Capital

The Bobcats, fresh off of a thrilling win against New York, go to the D.C. Area to face the Southeast Division foe Washington Wizards.

Jason Kapono was finally annointed into the starting lineup. Kapono played well in his debut as a starter, albeit it wasn't the explosive 30 points that he has dropped from time to time.

Kapono was almost in a point guard role alongside Jason Hart, and both contributed to the tempo of the game. The Wizards had trouble with the transition game, where the Bobcats flourished. At the end of the first half, Charlotte led 46-43. The second half was a different story.

Jamison paced the Wizards with 27 points, but most of his scoring came in the second half, and Charlotte did not have an answer. The Wizards went on a 13-0 run at the beginning of the 4th quarter, which almost sealed the game for the Wizards. Charlotte made a late comeback, but it wasn't enough. Washington wins, 92-88.

                        Charlotte Bobcats
Jason Kapono 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assist
Jason Hart 14 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assist

Iron Unkindly: Bobcats win in brick-fest.

The Pacers have played some ugly basketball this season. Even at 19-8, they are not an attractive or sexy playoff pick. Earlier this season, they thought that they had reached their offensive valley after losing to the Pistons 69-65. Now, they play the Bobcats.

In the first half, neither team looked bad, but it could've been a lot better offensively. Both teams just could not put the ball in the cup. Combined, they shot 32% in the first half. After the first half the score was 34-31, Indiana.

In the second half, it was absolutely horrid. The Pacers shot 19% from the field in the second half. It's not like the Bobcats were playing spectacular defense or good offense, they just caught Indiana on their worst offensive night in years. Charlotte sneaks out with an ugly 65-57 home win.

                            Charlotte Bobcats
Jason Kapono 17 points, 2 assist

Emeka Okafor 8 points, 14 rebounds

                            Indiana Pacers
                            Jamaal Tinsley 18 points
Ron Artest 9 points, 13 rebounds

In the first half, neither team looked bad, but it could've been a lot better offensively. Both teams just could not put the ball in the cup. Combined, they shot 32% in the first half. After the first half the score was 34-31, Indiana.

In the second half, it was absolutely horrid. The Pacers shot 19% from the field in the second half. It's not like the Bobcats were playing spectacular defense or good offense, they just caught Indiana on their worst offensive night in years. Charlotte sneaks out with an ugly 65-57 home win.
