

This is the last game for both teams before the new calendar year begins. Seattle (11-16) is very close to breaking up their team come February, but the Bobcats feel like they all playing solid ball on the East Coast at 9-16.
Charlotte just came off of a low-scoring affair against the Indiana Pacers. This game could not have been more of the opposite. Both teams came out shooting the lights out. From the top, one could tell that this game would come down to who could make the longest runs.
In the beginning, that team was Seattle. Everytime Charlotte got on a roll, Seattle would hit a few big outside shots to quiet the crowd. At halftime, this game was all the way up to 59-53 in favor of the Sonics. Gerald Wallace was carrying his team at this point, and Rashard Lewis paced the Sonics.
In the second half, an unlikely player starred at the end. After scoring only 4 points in the first half, Jason Hart scored 14. total points in the second half, steal leading his team on fast breaks, finding the open man. With about 5 minutes, the game looked at out reach for the Bobcats. The difference was definetly outside shooting, and the Sonics outshot the Bobcats from the arc by 9 shots. Jason Hart got in the lane on 3 straight possesions, making key defensive stops in the meanwhile. Hart found Kapono open in the corner, who drilled the 3-pointer to send the game into overtime.
In the overtime period, Ray Allen added to his quiet 20-point night, but he couldn't carry the load on his own. Jason Hart and Gerald Wallace were the catalyst in the overtime period, and were able to put this game away with late-game free-throws. Charlotte wins another thrilling game 133-123.
