Coach Clavel: The Journey of a Lifetime Homer (College Hoops 2K5)

Here's the deal on my closed legacy. I live in New Jersey so i'll start as Long Island on the MOP difficulty and look to stay very close to where i started for my dream job. This means i'll end my coaching career in the Big East trio of either Rutgers, Seton Hall, or St. John's whoever offers me first.

My schedule will always be preset. As for sliders, i won't change the gameplay, just the CPU fouls at max and the game speed at slow. My game length is 10 minutes per half. For game posting, i will update when i can.

In conclusion my startout coach ranking is C's across the board, with assistants pending. I will only post my assistants by name the next post, as i will have started the season already.

Man i forgot the names of my assistants, but it's not a big deal yet.

The Clavel legacy began for Long Island on a high note with a 49-41 victory over Lehigh at home. They got off to a 16-6 lead early to set the table and held off a late Lehigh charge when they cut it to 43-39 with under 4 minutes to go.

James Williams, the NEC's freshman of the year last year, led the way with 23 points and 2 steals, while Trevoy Chambers chipped in with 10 points. The difference in this game was the free throws, with LIU getting to the stripe more than twice that of Lehigh (26-12) and making all but 2 of the attempts. LIU also shot a solid 46 percent from the field.

LIU will face Columbia of the Ivy League next before heading into Chestnut Hill for their toughest game of the regular season against Boston College

Well what can i say, I lost my first road game. What i thought would saved for at Boston College happened. Columbia was just too tough down the stretch making almost every basket when i threatened to tie or take the lead in a 63-58 defeat.

James Williams led the way with 26 points and 2 steals but it wasn't enough this time. The 2 differences in this game was a 10-0 run by Columbia in the 2nd half to take a 39-33 lead. Also shooting 13-35 in the game was my downfall despite getting to and making all 29 free throws.

Next game is at Chestnut Hill when i face Boston College and i'll be lucky if i keep this close for a half. At least i go back home to face Wagner in my NEC opener afterwards.

Coach Clavel had his first game against a power confernce team at Boston College, and while he and his LIU team lost 65-49 on 29.7% shooting, it was positive on many fronts. First of which was they battled like hell only being down 43-41 with just under 4 to go before BC finally put them away with a 22-8 run.

Second of which was sophmore PG James Williams leading the scoring for LIU again with 18 points. With his 23.3 PPG average, he leads all of college basketball.

Third of which was through three games, they've been very aggressive getting to the free throw line with only 1 miss out of 25 tries in the BC game. They easily lead the NEC in free throw percentage.

LIU's next game will be it's NEC opener at Wagner and while they stand at 1-2 right now, they appear to have the ingredients for a special seaosn heading into the NEC schedule
