I visited DC 2 years ago and I fell head over heels for the area.
I even played as Georgetown in a short lived online dynasty with friends in NCAA 13 this past summer and it was fun.
I realized that I definitely have RDS (Restart Dynasty Syndrome).
I was going to do a Georgetown Dynasty with a NCAA14 team builder team until I saw their academic prestige was a C which is inaccurate about Georgetown. That was a month or so ago and I feel lost.
I realized that I am torn between the following options for an NCAA 14 PS3 Dynasty and here is what I think about each (not in order):
1) Georgetown NCAA 12 Teambuilder Team on NCAA 14.
> Pros: I am playing with an actual team and the academic prestige is amazing.
> Cons:
1. It’s cheese to be an FCS team in a conference of all FCS teams (like Elon, Furman, Wofford, App St, Charlotte, etc.).
2. Their roster would be too good (its a typical FCS roster quality).
3. The livery/logo is okay but having to stick with that would be questionable despite my attachment to them for a summer in NCAA 13.
4. Pressure to emulate the actual school.
2) GWU/American University and create Teambuilder teams with high academics/campus and D- in everything else. The teams would probably be among the worst in the game.
> Pros:
1. I feel less guilty because I’m playing with a real school.
2. I can make a worse quality roster.
> Cons:
1. I’m playing with an actual school so there’s pressure to emulate said school
2. Not a huge fan of the logo/colors/livery.
3) Create a brand new DMV team that would get logo/colors/livery of my own liking. It would be among the worst teams in the game. It would have high campus [because of DC]/academics but D- everything else.
> Pros
1. Get to create new program from scratch and customize logos/uniforms/colors, etc.
2. No history to feel guilty about keeping.
> Cons
1. Feel guilty for cheesing and not playing as a real school.
2. Would not be as popular amongst dynasty followers.
I apologize for this stress-inducing analysis, I am having trouble coming to any sort of decision and would love advice on which option to choose or how to break free of the psychological guilt of playing as a fake team or pressuring myself to emulate a real team, etc.
