Ahmerst ,massachusetts- The first game of the season went as expected. the 1-2 punch of Anderson and Freeman accounted for 34 of Umass's 73 points as Umass defeated Birm-Southern 73-55. The game was all over by half time as the minutemen at a 20 point lead and the 2nd half was just to expierement with diffrent lineups. Umass is trying to start of the season 2-0 this afternoon against the Yale Bulldog. Some people to look forward to are Rashaun Freeman, Anthony ANderson and Art bowers.

ok well i was about half way through the season and i got a DDE. So i decided to sim the whole season and heres how it came out

Umass losses to richmond at the final score of 60-53

Rashaun Freeman gets injured in the 2nd play and cant recover. Stunning way to go out for Anthony Anderson. he will be forever missed and hopefully we can be back next year with a stronger team

Coach Mx said that this team is better then last, But how much you ask? Well when you have Freeman and Bowers on the same team its going to be pretty good. With the same core they can only jsut get better as Freeman poured in 24 points and 11 rebs as Bowers poured in 25 points 3-3 from 3 pointland. The higgest scorer on the rest of the was 8 points. Coach Mx said that they are going to have to get better contributation from other players on diffrent nights as they cant win in the a10 like that. The score was 33-31 at half time in UMass's favor. Umass lead as much as 17. Umass prepares to take on Norfolk st whos 0-1

In a game that might have been the sloppiest game ever played at the Mullins Center umass defeated Norfolk st 61-54. The game should have been a blow out by Umass but their players kept on missing dunks and layups and just would hit. other then Freeman of course who had 25 points and 5 rebounds on 9-14 shooting. Art Bowers had 13 and Lawrence Carrier had 11. we are going to have to play alot better if we want even a chance against ND or Pitt the umass coach said.

Umass will be at a 1-1 Airforce team
