    New Jersey Nets

Kidd, Carter And Company Ready To Make A Run At The Title

After taking the eventual NBA champions Detriot Pistons to 7 games, the Nets organization thinks they can make another run for the title. Who can blame them anyways? New Jersey has added Vince Carter and a young rookie with alot of potential. The Nets also added Veterans Travis Best and Elden Campbell to their roster, but besides the addition of Best, Campbell, Kristic and Carter, New Jersey Still has Richard Jefferson and Jason Kidd. The Star-Ledger caught up with the two stars earlier today and when asked how is it going to feel playing without Kenyon Martin, they both said "hard and weird", however both were excited about the upcoming season and also playing with Vince Carter.

            Nets Burn Heat

New Jersey- The new look New Jersey Nets came into a crucial matchup against the Miami Heat as underdogs, with no real big man for the Nets you would thought Shaquille O'neal would have a Career night. The Nets came out playing defense in the first quarter holding the Daddy to 2 points in the 1st. The Nets on offense scored in the paint at will, but Dwayne Wade kept the game close, as he had 13 first quarter points. The second quarter was much of the same as Vince Carter and Dwayne Wade continued to carry the scoring load for their respective teams. Miami came out rolling in the 3rd quarter. Wade once again led the Heat and at the end of the quarter he had a total of 37 points. The Nets on the otherhand had nothing positive going for them in the quarter. However In the fourth, the Nets ran their offense through VC and on defense held Miami's main offense Dwayne Wade to zero points in the fourth after Lawrence Frank decided to matchup Kidd on Wade. New Jersey put away the game with clutch free-throws as the Nets surprised the Miami Heat.

Bulls Shocked Nets In Season Opener

Chicago- The Chicago Bulls came into the season with little or no exception of making an impact now but most likely in the future. The Bulls however for atleast one night made an impact now as they defeating the New Jersey Nets 105 to 85 in the United Center last night before a sold out crowd.

Chicago and New Jersey started off both shooting the lights out. The Bulls bigmen had their way in the low-post against New Jersey bigmen. Vince Carter kept New Jersey in the game with his scoring. In the second quarter the shooting continued for Chicago, when they weren't shooting the lights out Tyson Chandler was dominating the Offensive boards. New Jersey on the other hand was nowhere to be found offensively and defensively.
Chicago was able to put away New Jersey in the third quarter even though Kidd, Collins and Kristic helped out on the offensive end their Defense was nowhere to be found as they gaved up 32 points in the quarter. The fourth quarter was garbage time as Chicago defeated New Jersey 105 to 85.

                    New Jersey- 85

                            Nets Burns Suns

New Jersey- The Phoenix Suns came into the Meadowlands facing a stunned Net team after one night ago losing to the Bulls in the United Center.
The Suns from the get go came out playing their style of basketball. Steve Nash had nine points in the first. New Jersey on the other hand played solid team defense and Elden Campbell became a factor for the Nets. In the second quarter, the Nets continued to shoot well and they had great production off the bench. Phoenix's big three combined for a total of 32 first half points and Phoenix had a nice lead at the half.
In the third quarter it was the Vince Carter highlight reel show as he showed why he's known as one of the best dunkers in NBA history, the Nets Bigs continued to take advantage in the paint. Shawn Marion and Steve Nash kept the Suns in it, but the Suns defense was exposed. New Jersey was able to build a lead in the fourth quarter, but Phoenix would not go away.
In the later stages of the fourth New Jersey lost an important part to their team as Nenad Kristic went down with an injury, however bench players like Elden Campbell, Ron Mercer and Travis Best stepped it up and Vince Carter nailed the dagger three to put away the Suns.
