The UCLA Bruins started the season with a game at home against the Chicago State Cougars. The first half was very sloppy on UCLA's end, only shooting 34% while Chicago State shot 50%. UCLA started the second half on an 8-0 run and that is basically how the second half went, UCLA took control and played great team basketball. All 5 starters for UCLA were in double figures and 2 players had double doubles. Cedric Bozeman had 12 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. Ryan Hollins had 10 points and 12 rebounds. UCLA plays Western Illinois and UC Irvine next week.
