    Re: Baltimore Orioles (MVP 2005)

    O's acquire another pitcher
The Orioles have added another southpaw to thier rotation. On Saturday shortly after the win over the Yankees, they traded AAA pitcher Omar Daal and AAA shortstop Chris Gomez to the Cincinnati Reds for SP Eric Milton. Milton will take the place of Sidney Ponson in today's game vs. New York, bumping Sidney down to the 4, and Daniel Cabrera or Eric DuBose to the 5 spot.

"We're very happy that the front office could pull this off." manager Lee Mazzilli said while he was entering Camden Yards for pregame. "I'm going to meet with him when he arrives shortly, and hopefully he gives us a hell of a performance out there."

As for who would be sent to the bullpen, Mazzilli said "It's going to be a tough decision. Eric had that great game a few days ago, and Danny did his thing out there against Tampa. I think I will give Eric his next start and go from there. If he doesn't perform, I'll hand Danny the ball."

          Re: Baltimore Orioles (MVP 2005)

Alright, I decided to restart this after I took a long time off. I simmed a few games since, so I will give you the scores of those and get on with the next game:

          4/18: Tigers-3 Orioles-1
          4/19: Orioles-5 Tigers-1
          4/20: Orioles-4 Red Sox-2

          Trade News
The Orioles made another blockbuster trade, sending SP Sidney Ponson, 1B Rafael Palmeiro, and AAA RP Aaron Rakers to the Marlins for 1B Carlos Delgado. The Orioles were unhappy with Palmeiro's performance and Ponson's inconsistency and off-field actions. The Orioles will place Eric DuBose in the 5th starting spot.

Like the season so far, especially the number of trades you are doing... it keeps things fresh.
