        Orioles look to "beef" up Pitching


        In an effort to beef up there pitching, Thursday the Baltimore Orioles made a trade and a Free Agent Signing. The Orioles made a trade to the Washington Nationals for there SP Livan Hernandez, here is how it went down:

        Orioles Recieve:
        29 YO 86 Overall SP Livan Hernandez
        26 YO 78 Overall SU Luis Ayala
        26 YO 55 Overall SP John Patterson (AAA)

        Nationals Recieve:
        32 YO 77 Overall MR Jay Witasick (AAA)
        28 YO 75 Overall SP Rodrigo Lopez
        37 YO 74 Overall SU Steve Reed

        After the trade was made, the Orioles went out to the Free Agent Pool and signed 79 Overall SP Carter Dalton to also help there lineup. Here is how the Orioles Pitching Rotatin looks after the signing and trade:

        Starter 1 - Livan Hernandez (86 Ovr)
        Starter 2 - Carter Dalton (79 Ovr)
        Starter 3 - Sidney Ponson (76 Ovr)
        Starter 4 - Daniel Cabrera (67 Ovr)
        Starter 5 - Bruce Chen (69 Ovr)
