    2/3/05 GAME 18

    Conference Game

    (12-6) JACKSONVILLE DOLPHINS (10-3) Ovr - 71, Off - 75, Def - 73

    21 - 40 - 61

    AT

    (5-12) LIPSCOMB BISONS (4-8) Ovr - 66, Off - 73, Def - 69

    30 - 20 - 50

The Bisons continue to come up dry.

Nashville, TN -- The Lipscomb Bisons once again allowed themselves to be out hustled and outplayed, this time to the Jacksonville Dolphins.

Jacksonville dominated the baseline with thundering picks and box-outs to control the tempo of the game, and mow down the hapless Lipscomb players with frightening precision.

About the only bright point for the Bisons was (C) Shaun Durant who snagged 10 rebounds. Lipscomb shot 33% (19-57) while Jacksonville shot 41% (22-54) for the game.

"Tonight's performance was about as dark and dreary as it gets, we sure got our bells rung. All we can do now is go back to the drawing board and try again" Said Lipscomb head coach T.B. Lyns.

To add injury to insult, (JR PF) Cameron Robinson, who went to the floor grabbing his foot late in the game, is now reported as being day to day for the next 15 days as tests have shown he strained his achilles.

The Bisons now find themselves in 10th place in the Atlantic Sun conference with 7 conference games left to try and climb up to the #8 spot and get into the conference toruney. Next up for the Bisons is hosting the Stetson Hatters, who beat the Bisons 72-50 early last month, in 2 days Saturday 2/5/05.

      2/5/05 GAME 19

      Conference Game

      (9-11) STETSON HATTERS (7-7) Ovr - 72, Off - 76, Def - 75

      30 - 65 - 65

      AT

      (5-13) LIPSCOMB BISONS (4-9) Ovr - 66, Off - 73, Def - 68

      30 - 30 - 60

The Bisons lose another down the stretch.

Nashville, TN -- In his first press conference, Lipscomb head Coach T.B. Lyns borrowed liberally from legendary Michigan State Coach Duffy Duagherty when he said "Playing for the pirde of your scchool in College Hoops is not a matter of life or deeath. It's more important than that."

Well following the Bisons 65-60 loss at the hands of the Stetson Hatters, it appears to be debatable whether the Bisons team has been mde aware of the fact that they were left dead in the water by a solid, yet less than inimidating Hatters squad.

The theme for the evening, as far as Limspcmb was concerned, was how best to shoot your own tema in the foot. The accuracy with which the Bisons did this (blowing a 10 pt lead with less than 2 minutes left to play) was noteworthy, even as their accuracy in all the other parts of their game went missing.

Once again the Bisons were led in rebounds by (C) Shaun Durant who snagged 10. But they went so cold form the field in the last two minutes of the game you would have sworn the were sitting on ice blocks, instead of chairs, on the side of the court as they missed all 10 of their final shots. For the game the Bisons shot 40% (22-55) while Jacksonville shot 43% (22-43).

"This one really hurt" was all that Lipscomb Head Coach T.B. Lyns, would say at the end of the game.

The Bisons now find themselves in 10th place in the Atlantic Sun conference with 6 conference games left to try and climb up to the #8 spot and get into the conference tourney. Next up for the Bisons is heading to Macon, GA to play the Mercer Bears, this coming Friday 2/11/05, who the the Bisons Beat 83-60 back in early January.

Well, it certainly hasn't come easily thus far. It doesn't look like you have many guys you can count on to hit the big shot, or any shot for that matter. Hard to win many games when you struggle from the field like that. Any prospects for a deadeye shooter in the coming offseason?

Keep at it coach, I'm sure you can turn it around.
