As soon as Aubrey Huff gave the Mariners a 4-0 lead in the first inning via a grand slam, Lou Piniella and the rest of Seattle knew that today would be a good day. With help from Josh Fogg in the pitching department, Seattle improved to 2-1 after demolishing the Twins, 12-2.

It was homeruns galore in Seattle, as Aubrey Huff, Mark Teixeria, Chipper Jones, and Carl Crawford all hit a homer - but Ichiro out did them all with 2 rare homeruns. He was a double short of the cycle.

Minnesota had no help offensivley or defensively with all they could do was pray for the game to be over.

Jerome Williams played in just 1.1 innings, but allowed 7 runs in that span. R.A. Dickey provided relief for the Twins, but allowed 5 runs - 4 of them were homers.
