This was my first ever trip to the Orange Bowl, and it was a bit overwhelming for me. Miami is such a storied dynasty, and to come into their house to play seemed a bit much at first, but once I suited up and got out on the field, it felt like just another game. Because it was.

Our offense just has not been what it could be this season. They have struggled all year to find an identity, and did it again today. They don't just struggle to score points, they struggle to get first downs. We spend 2/3 of every game on the field because our offense can't convert a third down. It is overly frustrating to play defense here right now. I wish I went to Penn State.

Wake Forest came in at 3-6, and 1-6 in the ACC, but played like a team that really had something to play for. Well they did, if we won, they'd be eliminated from bowl contention, and they knew it. They were playing for their seniors.

That's the thing about this time of year. Teams around .500 have a lot more to play for then a team sitting at 7-3. We fell behind 13-0 early, and it looked like another game where our offense would do nothing. Well that's a correct statement. We scored a touchdown on defense, then set up a short 20 yard drive with another pick. The offense had less yards then Wake, and looked awful once more.

The two picks were both set up by me drilling the quarterback as he was throwing. I wish I could have gotten there a second earlier, but with the way our offense plays it was probably better we made the picks that we did.

Virginia actually came in with a winning record this year. Last year they were god awful, but they were sitting at 6-3 coming into their game with us. Weird how our regular season ends with this game, but some teams, like them, have two more games to play.

I barely played in this one. I was on the field for less then half the defensive snaps, and I couldn't get a good reason why out of anyone. I lead the team in tackles, I led the team last year, and when I'm on the field we're a better defense, yet I sat. I'm happy we won, but I need some answers, or maybe it'll be time for me to move on to the NFL.
