    Maybin Destroys Sanchez, Jets
5 Sacks brings him withing 2.5 of Strahan's Record!

    -------------
    40-----------------13

    Buffalo, NY (AP)
Mark Sanchez spent most of the game on his back. Most of the reason is Aaron Maybin - he got past the Jets RT at will and sacked Sanchez 5 times, not to mention forcing 2 fumbles as well.

On a down side, the Bills lost Fred Jackson only 4 plays into the game as he herniated a disk in his back - he will be out for the remainder of the season. The severity of this injury may keep him out even longer. Bruce Smith didn't want to talk about Jackson's status on the team after the injury, but he said it didn't look too good.

Marshawn Lynch gained only 42 yards on 19 carries, but at least Terrell Owens was able to do something productive as he caught yet another TD to bring his total to 14 on the season.

The Bills had a hard time keeping the Jets from making long runs early in the game, but they eventually settled down and held a RB below 100 yards for the first time in 5 weeks.

    Stats of Note-
    Defense
Aaron Maybin- 10 tackles, 9 TFL, 5 Sacks and 2 Forced Fumbles
    - A good day? More like a GREAT day!

    Rushing
Fred Jackson- 4 carries for 48 yards. (OUT FOR SEASON)
    - This injury is going to hurt the Bills immensely if Lynch can't step it up.

    Receiving
Lee Evans - 4 catches for 84 yards
    - Continues to show he is going to be 'the guy' once Owens retires.

Lynch Wakes Up, Bills Hold On
      Edwards Struggles Against KC Defense

      -------------
      38-----------------31

      Kansas City, MO (AP)
Marshawn Lynch finally woke up from his stupor and hit the 100 yard mark for the first time since week one. It was a good day to have such an strong running game as QB Trent Edwards was held to 0 TDs and 1 INT.

At two different points in the second half the Bills were down by 10 points. With the strong running of Lynch and a couple key plays on Defense and Special Teams, the Bills were able to recover and win the game.

On defense, Aaron Maybin brought himself within 1.5 sacks of tying Strahan's record on a monster hit that resulted in a Marcus Stroud rumblin' and stumblin' to the endzone for his first career TD.
      See the clip below -

Leodis McKelvin also joined the party with a 96 yard Kickoff return for a TD (his second of the season).

      Stats of Note-
      Defense
Marcus Stroud- 3 Tackles, 1 Sack, 2 TFL, 1 TD
      - The big fella deserves some credit for a solid game

      Rushing
Marshawn Lynch- 18 carries for 114 yards and 2 TDs
      - Trying to prove that he is still the guy for the job, Lynch had an excellent game.

      Receiving
Terrell Owens- 4 catches for 110 yards
      - Yet another strong game, he is making a case for WR of the year.

Yeah, as a team, the Bills have really come together in many ways. New England needs this win if they want a chance at the division. If we win this game we clinch the AFC East. Hoping it's enough to garner some interest from FA's in the off-season.

Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch led the stellar Bills offense and the lackluster defense was able to hold on for dear life.

Tom Brady just wouldn't go away, but with 29 seconds left, his final pass bounced off of Benjamin Watson's hands in the endzone.

On a bad note, the Bills lost two key players in this game.
            • Donte Whitner - Broken Jaw (3 Weeks)
            • Roscoe Parrish - Herniated Disk (5 Weeks)

It's time to celebrate your first trip to the playoffs in ten years Bills fans!

            Stats of Note-
            Defense
            Aaron Maybin- 1 sack
            - Within one sack of owning the record as a rookie. Could this be the next Bruce Smith? We shall see!

            Rushing
Marshawn Lynch- 17 carries for 146 yards and 2 TDs
            - Once again, the Patriots couldn't stop Lynch. He seems to be in the right mindset now.

            Receiving
Lee Evans- 7 catches for 137 yards 1 TD
            - This guy is making defensive coordinators cry in their sleep.

Bills Could Win Home Field Advantage Next Week

              Atlanta, GA (AP)
Who says these games don't matter? After clinching the AFC East, the Bills are now one victory (and a Steelers loss) away from clinching the AFC's best record and home field advantage for the playoffs.

Trent Edwards had his first multi-TD game in 3 weeks as he threw 4 TDs along with 271 yards with no INTs.

Marshawn Lynch was held to 42 yards on the day.

The Falcons were relying heavily on the play of Roddy White who had 125 yards on 9 receptions with 2 TDs.

Once again, Terrell Owens stole the show on what is looking like one of the best seasons for a WR, ever.

              Stats of Note-
              Defense
              Aaron Maybin- 1 sack
              - The new owner of the NFL Single Season Record for Sacks - 23 and counting.

              Rushing
Jerious Norwood- 18 carries for 55 yards and
              - The Bills actually held a RB to 55 yards TOTAL!!! Wow...

              Receiving
Terrell Owens- 4 catches for 107 yards 2 TDs
              - Probably won't break Randy Moss' single season TD Record, but he is having a year to remember.

                  Could Be Broken By -
                  Trent Edwards (4752)
                  Drew Brees (4707)

Passing TDs (Tom Brady - 50)

                  Could Be Broken By -
                  Drew Brees (45)

Receiving Yards (Jerry Rice - 1848)

                  Could Be Broken By -
                  Terrell Owens (1701)

                  Sacks (Aaron Maybin - 23)
                  Can He Add More?

Joseph Addai ran for 394 yards and 3 TDs, making the defense look like a junior high team.

The Bills Get a rematch against the first record breaking RB they faced. This could be ugly - oh yeah, and it will be 15 degrees and snowy.

Brees vs. Favre and Peterson for a trip to the NFC Title game... This will be fun.

The defending champs might have a few things to show McDaniels and crew.
