That is brutal losing your slot and your MLB in a season...Much less the same game....How were their backups doing in game after the injuries occurred? Will there be a big drop off or will things kind of just go along the same way?

It's tough losing them both, moreso Obi. I have plenty of depth at WR but LB's are slim. I might have to bring one of the freshman up (currently I have them set to redshirt) to add some more depth. Sucks even more that he's a senior and he'll be gone next year. Least it's not ENTIRELY the season, there's a chance for both of them to be back for a bowl game (that is granted I don't choke away the rest of the season lol).

Ya, and I have the same issue right now with my Senior RB and only real bright spot on the team is out for 7 weeks, he may or may not be able to play in the Senior Night game depending on how things fall. As far as replacing guys when they get hurt OVR means nothing at all they all have a different handle and when you get used to one and then it changes it is very upsetting.

Looking good so far, can't wait to see more.

                      Week 4 - Game Report

Bowling Green Falcons (1-2) at Michigan Wolverines (3-0)

When It Rains, It Pours. A Downpour Of 83 Points That Is.

The redshirt Freshman RET/HB Fitzgerald Toussaint jump poses on 1 of his 2 KR's for TD's.

Ann Arbor, MI (AP) - Another homestand for the undefeated Michigan Wolverines (3-0) as they take on the Bowling Green Falcons (1-2) in what SHOULD be another victory for the Wolverines although in college football you never know. One interesting note will be to see how Michigan handles the two big injuries they suffered in last weeks game losing slot Junior WR Martavious Odoms and starting redshirt Senior MLB Obi Ezeh both for 10 weeks.

The Wolverines would win the coin toss and elect to receive as things couldn't possibly start much better with redshirt Freshman returner/HB Fitzgerald Toussaint having a HUGE gap on the left side of the field, hitting it and sprinting down the sidelines into the endzone untouched 96 yards for the touchdown! There isn't a better way to start a game off then like that folks. 7-0 Michigan. Michigan's defense allowed a quick first down before putting the clamps down and forcing the Falcons to punt giving the Wolverines offense their first shots of the game. However, they struggled to get much of anything being held to a 3 and out as they punted the ball right back. Coach Kleinbauer has expressed his concerns in his offensive struggles so far this season so it'll be interesting see what changes (if any) have been made. Not to worry too much Wolverines fans as on the very first play Bowling Green's next possession they attempted a WR Screen, but redshirt Sophomore QB Aaron Pankratz threw it right into the hands of fellow redshirt Sophomore CB J.T. Floyd's hands who easily returned it 29 yards for another Wolverines touchdown. An interesting note now, Michigan's defense has scored more touchdowns that it's offense so far this season. 14-0 Wolverines.

In all reality this game was over before it even got started as the Wolverines continued to pound away on the Falcons getting their first real blowout of the season. Aside from the struggling first drive, Michigan's offense looked very smooth and the defense continued to play like they had all season long so far. The backup offense/defense came in the 4th quarter and finished the game out as the Wolverines demolish the Falcons, 83-10.

Indiana Hoosiers (3-0) at Michigan Wolverines (4-0)

Wolverines Hitting Their Stride With 35-9 Victory Over Indiana

Sophomore QB Tate Forcier Shows Off His Wheels With This 68 Yard Touchdown Scamper

Ann Arbor, MI (AP) - The Michigan Wolverines (4-0) headed down to Bloomington, IN to face the Indiana Hoosiers (3-0) in what would be the Big Ten opener featuring two undefeated teams so someone had to lose. Coming off a ridiculous 83-10 win against Bowling Green last week, the Wolverines are certainly a very confident bunch heading into this game.

Michigan won the coin toss and elected to receive as QB Tate Forcier & Co looked to continue last week's success. Starting from their 21, the Wolverines started off well with a 9 yard carry and picking up a first down, but then Indaiana's defense stepped it up forcing them to punt. The Hoosiers offense headed out onto the field from their 21 with their pistol offense as Michigan's defense followed suit holding Indiana to a 3 and out and punting. A decent return would give the Wolverines the ball at midfield as Forcier came out in the I-Form before faking to the halfback and throwing it deep to Sophomore WR Roy Roundtree who burned his man as he brought it down at the 5 and dragged the defender into the endzone for the 50 yard touchdown pass! 7-0 Michigan early on.

Don't count the Hoosiers out of it just yet though as on a 3rd and 10 from their 20, redshirt Senior QB Ben Chappell threw up a deep bomb that fellow redshirt Senior WR Terrance Turner pulled down on a 39 yard gain putting them right into Michigan territory at the 42. Another 3rd and 10 resulted in another deep pass, however this one was batted away as the Hoosiers kicking team trotted out for a really long 59 yard field goal. The redshirt Sophomore K Nick Freeland was accurate enough, however he was just short as last week's return sensation redshirt Freshman HB/RET Fitzgerald Toussaint was there to catch it and take it out of the endzone before being tackled, but not before he got the the Wolverines 39 yard line to give his offense excellent field position. After taking a 7 yard sack on 1st and 10, Tate Forcier came right back with a speed option to the right and only had 1 defender to beat to the endzone as he dove to the dirt grasping for Tate's legs the Sophomore QB outran him and ran 68 yards down the field for another Wolverines touchdown! How's that for excitement? Michigan up 14-0. As if that wasn't bad enough for Indiana, Chappelle threw a horrible screen pass on the very first play of their next drive that resulted in a patented pick six for the Wolverines by redshirt Sophomore CB J.T. Floyd! 21-0 Wolverines at the end of the 1st quarter. The Hoosiers defense wouldn't allow anymore points in the 2nd quarter although their offense still struggled to do anything, but managed to get a field goal with the score being 21-3 Wolverines at halftime.

Indiana received the ball and started from their 22 to start the 2nd half in hopes of getting something going to get back into this ballgame. That wouldn't happen though as a quick 3 and out gave the Wolverines offense the ball right back. Michigan's offense suffered the same fate however, giving Indiana another opportunity after the punt, but they would have to go 98 yards for a touchdown after a great punt by the true Freshman P Will Hagerup. Interestingly enough, they did just that in 3 plays as Chappelle read the blitz and threw it quickly to a streaking redshirt Senior WR Terrance Turner who broke one tackle and was gone for daylight on a record breaking 91 yard touchdown reception that gave the Hoosiers some life! Although the kicker missed the extra point making it 21-9 Michigan. The redshirt Sophomore HB Vincent Smith played the "Anything you can do I can do better" card as on the very first play of Michigan's following drive, he would take the handoff, cut right, then upfield and turned on the jets to run 76 yard untouched to paydirt holding his hand up the last 5 yards with a big smile on his face as Coach Kleinbauer was seen running down the sidelines with him! 28-9 Michigan.

The rest of the game Michigan ran the clock and scored one more touchdown for good measure while Indiana's offense continued to struggle against the Wolverines stout defense. The final score would be 35-9 Michigan as they continue to roll on to 5-0 while the Hoosiers fall to 3-1.
