There's Something in These Hills - A Clemson University Dynasty

    Dynasty Settings

    Rosters - luvtotha9s
Sliders - SECElite's (with updated coaching sliders)
    Recruiting - All-American
    Quarter Length - 9 Minutes

    Dynasty Rules

On Defense, I always control one of my linebackers. I only switch players once the ball is thrown, or once the QB is forced out of the pocket.
    Must play SIM style.
No conservative style clock until the last 3 minutes of either the 2nd or 4th quarter. (Unless I am winning by more than 40.)

    Dynasty Goals

Take the football program at Clemson University to a new level, both within' the ACC and the nation.

      2010 Preseaon

The Tiger Tribune reports a interview with Clemson coach Dabo Swinney.

Tribune "Coach what are your plans for this year? Any changes that the fans should know about?"

Swinney "Well, we have decided to go with a Pistol style offense, and run a little option. We have explosive backs in Andre Ellington and Jamie Harper. We have an experienced Quarterback in Kyle Parker. It should be an exciting offense for me to coach and the fans to watch."

Tribune "That sounds exciting coach. Goals for the season? Hoping to claim the ACC championship after the close loss last December?"

Swinney "Well first and foremost, we want to win the ACC, that's no question. We definitely want a winning record against our rivals, and we want to finish within' the top 25. That will put us on the road to making this a powerhouse team, known and feared by the nation."

Thanks man, this is my first dynasty I've kept track of. Hopefully I can do a good job, want to do my school justice, both with results and the dynasty.

          (0-0) vs. (0-0)

Xavier Brewer gets a pick six late in the first quarter to fuel the Clemson fans and players.

          Clemson, SC.
The Tiger fans and players both had a reason to roar this Saturday. The Tigers came into the season seeking a shot at the ACC championship after barely losing it to Georgia Tech last December. After today's game, it's a real possibility. The Tigers came out of the gate stale, you could call it pre-season jitters, but as soon as something happened to cause a spark. The fire was ignited.
Xavier Brewer would take a interception to the house after a late first quarter interception. After the touchdown you could see the fire in the eyes of the Tigers. It didn't take long for the game to get out of hand. The coaches' each had little to comment.

          Dabo Swinney -
" The team played great today. The ACC championship is looking like a real possibility, even though this isn't a real test. The team played great, although the wide recievers had a little too many drops, and Parker had problems with the vertical pass. The defense was great, and if not for blown play, we would've held the Mean Green to 3 points.
Overall I'm proud of the team. Although we still need to get ready for our first big test of the season. Auburn, that team looks good and to us it's a chance to show the nation what we can do."

          Todd Dodge -

" What can I say? We turned the ball over, and play terrible. Nothing more you can say. Clemson is a good team, but I believe the game should have been closer. We could have maybe won it. No going back, what happened happened, now we just pre-pare for the following week. Look at what we learned here and apply it."

              (0-1) vs. (1-0)

Andre Ellington returns a kick-off for 90 yards.

              Clemson, SC.
The game Saturday between the Presbyterian College Blue Hose and the Clemson Tigers was over before it began. The Tigers shot to a lead early in the 1st quarter, and before the 2nd quarter had started they possessed a 21-0 lead. By half time the score was 56-7.
When the 3rd quarter started most fans were gone, then came in the back-ups. After an impressive display of how to run the pistol option by Parker (100 Yds) and Ellington (134 Yds), Jamie Harper and Rodrick McDowell came into the game. Harper put up 131 Yds on 17 carries, and McDowell put up 73 Yds on only 6 attempts. Kasey Nobles, the back-up FB also had 3 rushing attempts for 27 Yds.
The defense for the Tigers had a solid game. Only allowing 7 points, coming after the 1st string Defense had left the game. There were no stand out defensive players, although they shut the opposing team down as a solid unit.
There was controversy following the game. The Blue Hose coach Harold Nichols was appalled at the score the Tigers "ran up." This became apparent as soon as half time. He walked over to Dabo Swinney and had a word with him, showing his anger. Swinney would not say exactly what Nichols had told him. The following are the post-game comments:

              Dabo Swinney -
"What do you want me to do, not tell my guys to play? We have a huge season defining game next week, we need to be game ready. I can't tell them after the 1st quarter to quit trying. Mid-way through the 2nd I had all my starters out. I can't help my team scored, all I did was call plays and my guys found the holes. Do you have anymore questions?"
" Yes, I think we are prepared for Auburn, our offense is clicking right now, all the guys are contributing, the pass hasn't been there as much as we'd hoped but with the ball moving in the run game like it has you can't complain. The defense is doing there job, we even have good 2nd string guys to come in if needed. Overall, me and guys will be going into Auburn next week confident in our ability to seek a W."

              Harold Nichols -
" I have no comment. This game was a disgrace. Good luck to them with the rest of the season."
" What? Yes I think they ran up there score. No, it was accidental, there's no way you can accidentally score 70 points there's just no way."
" Yes, they're a good team. And, yes they will have a good season. No prediction on their finally outcome, but it will be a decent season."

              BoxScore Tomorrow

RE Malliciah Goodman lays down a big hit to a Blue Hose back.
