I really, really, really hope I can keep him, he's the #1 rusher in the country, and didn't finish higher than 4th in any awards. Btw, thanks for following and posting, it lets me know that someone cares, lol

I know what you mean. I liked it when I was able to get people involved when I would do a dynasty.

          Fiesta Time!
The Cal Golden Bears capped off the season with a big statement beating the TCU Horned Frogs 39-10, and left most people wondering why they weren't playing for the national championship.

Cal jumped out early with a 80 yard touchdown run from Shane Vereen. The defense shut down TCU early, and didn't let them score a touchdown all game. The only touchdown the Horned Frogs got was a 98 yard kickoff return. Casey Pachall, Andy Dalton's replacement had little to no success against the Cal defense, and was intercepted once and sacked over and over again.

Shane Vereen finished with 29 carries and over 300 yards rushing against a very tough TCU defense. Vereen broke the school single season rushing record with 2047 yards. Quarterback Allan Bridgford showed flashes of excellence, leaving Cal fans excited for the upcoming 3 seasons. Now the only question is if Coach McBride and running back Shane Vereen will stay for the upcoming season.

The Oregon Ducks beat the Alabama Crimson Tide to win the BCS National Championship. Final Score 31-17.

            Exceeding Expectations
The Cal Golden Bears finished the season on a high note with a W against the TCU Horned Frogs in the Fiesta Bowl. Cal finished the season at #4 in the Coaches Poll. Despite getting offers from Tennessee, Penn State and countless other schools, Coach McBride has decided to stay with the team. Unfortunately the same can't be said for star running back Shane Vereen and Marvin Jones. Both are entering the NFL Draft, and both said it was their dream to play in the NFL, and they are seizing that opportunity.

                  Re: Conference Re-Alignment Dynasty

Preseason Press Conference With Coach McBride

"First off, I would like to introduce our new offensive coordinator Paul Petrino, Petrino was the former offensive coordinator at Illinois." "He will be running pretty much the same offense we ran last year, but more tailored to our powerback Covaughn Deboskie"

Petrino: "I am very happy to accept this position, and hope to contribute to the new found success that Cal has found." "And now, I'll let coach McBride speak."

Reporter: "You have a very successful recruiting class coming in, ranked 9th in ESPNU's recruiting class standings." Are any freshman going to play a role in this year's team like Keenan Allen and Tevin Carter?"

McBride: "Most of them have redshirted, but we have a very talented team but expect Joey Watson to get some playing time at CB, next question."

Reporter: "You got your wish from last year and get to play Ohio State, how does that make you feel?"

McBride: "I love it, we play them at home, so the horseshoe isn't going to be a problem. It's not the first game of the season, so we can work out the problems and give them our best.

Reporter: You seem to have three runningbacks on your roster that can contend, Covaughn Deboskie, Isi Sofele and Trajuan Briggs. Who is the starter?

McBride: Deboskie is the power back, Sofele is the speed back. All three of them will get a lot of carries. Briggs will contend with both, being a very good mixture of speed and power will come in for relief for both. We have depth and experience this year, and hope to spread the ball around now that Shane Vereen is in the NFL

Reporter: Will Alan Bridgford be the starting quarterback?

McBride: Yes, Bridgford showed vast improvements from last year during the summer and spring practices. We will take the training wheels off this year and let him be him.

Reporter: How is Shane Vereen going to be missed?

McBride: He's going to be missed greatly, he could have done it all. He was a great running back and the best player I have ever been around. I understand his decision to go to the NFL. He was on pace to run the ball around 300 times this year, and that is alot of hits, and with runningbacks hits take off miles. I wish him the best of luck in the NFL and in life.

Reporter: What are your expectations for this year's team?

McBride: Well, we lost a lot of guys, all of them were great leaders. With a couple of preseason All-Americans I think we can run the table for another Pac 12 championship. We have the hardest conference in football with us, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Washington State, Utah and Washington. Four, including us are ranked going into the season. I expect us to have a little bit more success throwing the ball this year, and Allan Bridgford is looking good. Hopefully we don't get screwed out of another National Championship. Most of all, I want to beat Ohio State and Stanford. One is my rival, the other is a school rival. We're going to contend with both teams this year. And hopefully finish in the top 10 again.

This year we will also be following the newly appointed offensive coordinator of the Bowling Green Falcons, Coach Ben Dover. I will only play offense, and strictly offense with Bowling Green. I will be setting up an air raid offense and will look to lead Bowling Green to victory.

Not much to say here. It could have been a lot worse if I hadn't dove after the first down when rushing in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The Defense played terrific, with an touchdown from a fumble recovery. All-Pac 12 Marc Anthony had an early interception. The three headed monster at running back ran for over 200 yards, and QB Allan Bridgford played great throwing 4 touchdowns. The player of the game was Keenan Allen, the sophomore wide receiver who had two reception touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown.

Congrats on the Fiesta Bowl win. I can't believe Sweeney transfered to UCLA. I am using Cal in a Online Dynasty and he has taken over as my starter replacing Riley. Vereen got hurt in Week 1, so I have been using Sofie as my primary back and he has delievered bigtime.

Good luck with the season. Looks like the FCS team stood no chance.
