    Colts Deliver Texas Sized Whooping

Kelvin Hayden celebrates after his pick-six

Indianapolis, IN (AP) -- It was three interceptions by the Colts defense, two of which were returned for a touchdown, the propelled the Colts to their sixth straight win to start the season. That marks three straight games in which the Colts defense has scored two touchdowns. And they needed it, too. For the third straight game Peyton Manning had a rough outing completing just 12 of 28 passes for 217 yards and threw one interception to go along with three touchdown passes. Manning, who started off 7/9 with three touchdowns - all to Dallas Clark - completed just five of his next nineteen passes including one interception.

"I know not everyday is going to be perfect but I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't disappointed in myself after this stretch of games. I hold myself to much higher standards and I'm the one who's responsible for righting the ship. Fortunately our defense has picked us up when we needed them to and it's led to three straight wins." -Peyton Manning

Colts Core 36 Unanswered; Defeat Lions 50-10

Peyton Manning threw three touchdowns, giving him 421 on his career, and moving him into second on the all-time list.
Indianapolis, IN (AP) -- Two of the top teams in the NFL squared off in what promised to be a tightly contested ballgame. Coming in at 6-1 the Detroit Lions were a half-game back of the Green Bay Packers (7-1) in the NFC North division. The Colts, at 7-0, came in as the lone undefeated team in the AFC.

The Lions wasted no time getting the scoring started as they marched the ball down the field with ease on their opening drive. A 32 yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Titus Young gave Detroit a very early 7-0 lead. The Colts came right back with a touchdown of their own on their opening drive, that ended in a five yard touchdown run by Michael Tolbert. Both offenses, however, would sputter a bit for the remainder of the half. Indy's three 2nd quarter field-goals and Detroit's one made it a 16-10 ballgame at halftime.

While the Lions offense continued to struggle in the third quarter, the Colts offense did anything but. Peyton Manning threw three touchdowns in the third quarter - including a 19 yard TD pass to Dallas Clark to tie Dan Marino's career mark of 420 career TD passes - and the Colts 21-0 quarter gave them a 37-10 lead heading into the fourth. Another touchdown pass to Dallas Clark as time expired in the third and Peyton Manning passed Dan Marino for second all-time on the career touchdown passes list. Things would only get worse for Detroit as Jacob Lacey intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass on the Lions ensuing drive, and returned it to the Detroit 17 yard line. Four plays later Michael Tolbert punched it in to give the Colts a 44-10 lead with 8:37 to play in the game. Detroit never scored again as Indy added two more Adam Vinatieri field-goals, giving him five on the day. In a game featuring two teams with a combined record of 13-1, it was all Colts as they won 50-10.

Colts Blank Jets in 34-0 Rout

Antoine Bethea with one of two Indy interceptions

Indianapolis, IN (AP) -- We're used to seeing physical football from the New York Jets under Rex Ryan. However, Ryan got a taste of his own medicine as the Colts held the Jets to just 126 yards of total offense and kept them off the scoreboard in a 34-0 rout. For the seventh time in nine games Peyton Manning threw multiple interceptions and, couple that with two Colts fumbles, and they had four turnovers on the night. Their defense, in a recurring theme, kept the opponent at bay, though, and allowed the offense to get in a rhythm as Indy rolled to their ninth straight victory.

                    Week 12 Preview

                    Key Games

Baltimore Ravens (6-4) at Cincinnati Bengals (6-4)
This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams and in order to keep pace with the 7-3 Steelers both teams need a win. While a loss wouldn't knock either out of the wildcard hunt it would pull them back into the muddled group of 5-5 and 4-6 teams.

Indianapolis Colts (10-0) at New England Patriots (7-3)
The Tom Brady-Peyton Manning rivalry took a year off last year with Manning being sidelined by a neck injury. With six games to play a Patriots win would keep them in the hunt for the one-seed in the AFC.

Buffal Bills (6-4) at Arizona Cardinals (6-4)
Buffalo is still in great position for an AFC wildcard slot and they are still in the AFC East hunt. Arizona leads the NFC West but are just two games ahead of the other three teams in the division.

Colts Hold on to Beat Patriots

Boston, MA (AP) -- Despite holding a 23-0 halftime lead the Indianapolis Colts had to hold off the New England Patriots in the end. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, after struggling in the first half, put together two straight touchdown drives to turn at 23-0 blowout into a tightly contested 23-15 game. In the end, however, it was Peyton Manning who got the last laugh. A 14 yard touchdown pass to Michael Floyd with 2:44 remaining in the game sealed the Patriots fate, as the Colts held on to win 33-15.

                        Week 13 Preview

                        Key Games

Atlanta Falcons (7-4) at Dallas Cowboys (5-6)
Despite being under .500 the Cowboys come into this week 13 match-up just one game back in the race for the second wildcard spot. The NFC South leading Falcons hold just a slim one game lead over the Buccaneers so, for both teams, there are playoff implications riding on this game.

Arizona Cardinals (7-4) at New York Jets (6-5)
The Cardinals seem to have a firm grasp on the NFC West as they lead the division by three games. The Jets, however, have put together a late season surge to put themselves in the playoff hunt. Currently, New York sits in a five-way tie for the second wildcard spot and just one game back of the Steelers for the 5th seed in the AFC.

Green Bay Packers (10-1) at Chicago Bears (6-5)
The Packers have a two game lead on the Lions in the NFC North but are still one game back of the Eagles for the one-seed and home-field advantage in the NFC. The Bears are currently in a tie for the 2nd and final NFC wildcard spot with the Buccaneers.

                        Game of the Week

Detroit Lions (8-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (11-0)
The undefeated Eagles are in no danger of losing the division and have a playoff spot all but wrapped-up. However, a loss this week and a Packers win would put them in a tie with Green Bay for the one-seed in the NFC. Detroit is currently two games behind the Packers in the NFC North and a loss this week would essentially knock them out of the discussion of winning the division and earning a first round BYE in the playoffs.

Hey man I think you should consider bumping up the difficulty? You're blowing everyone out and you're 11-0 the year after going 0-16?
