Week 2 Wraps Up Big East Action with a Big Upset!!

Week 2 provided some Ho-Hum action as several schools were playing 1-AA schools, But 5 others were playing some better competetion. Here are the Recaps from the Week 2 Action.

Cincy 28 Fcs East 3- Collaros threw for 2 td's and ran in for 1 as Cincy manhandled Fcs east all game, Cincy led 21-0 at Ht. Highlight of the Game was a 53 yrd fg made by Fcs east's kicker to get them on the board.

Louisville 48 Fcs SE 14- Stein threw for 3 td's and ran in for 2 as the Cardinals trampled Fcs Se. Stein's 3 td's came in the 1st quarter, as the Cardinals ran to a 34-0 HT lead.

Uconn 42 Fcs East 20- The Huskies Mcentee threw for 4 td's as the Huskies struggled in the 1st half only leading 21-13 at the Half. Then a huge 21-0 3rd quarter sealed the deal on the Win

Rutgers 45 Fcs Se 17- The Knights led by Williams and Dodd as Dodd threw for 2 Td's and Williams rushed for 2 as the Knights rolled to a easy win.

West Virginia 38 Marshall 7- The Herd were no match for the Mountaineers as Geno Smith threw for 4 Td's as WV held a 21-0 HT lead and cruised from there.

USF 31 #21 Notre Dame 7- Big Upset here as the Bulls fell behind 7-0 in the 1st quarter, then BJ Daniels rushed for 2 td's and passed for 1 as the Bulls scored 17 unanswered in the 2nd quarter to cement the Huge win for the Program.

Syracuse 23 Wake Forest 10- The Orange used a 17-0 Ht lead to gain the early advantage and then ran out the clock in the 2nd half to get the win as the Orange Pk Krautman nailed 3 fg's to help the Orange.

Pitt 33 Buff 7- The panthers Sunseri threw for 2 scores as the panthers led 27-0 at HT and Cruised from There.

There will be possibly some poll shifting cause of the Nd upset, We will see how many more there will be When the Top 25 comes out on Mon.

Re: Bringing Back Army!! (Ncaa 12)

Big East action for Week 3.

With USF's win over Notre Dame it put the Big east on the Map as hopeful serious contenders for the Title. Lots of Action this week as we Put the Caps in Place

Fcs east vs Pitt- Should be another walk in the park for the Panthers as they play another 1-aa team.
FIU vs Louisville- Should be a easy win for the Cardinals despite the Qb for Fiu being Carroll a Transfer from Miss St.

Fcs East vs WVU- West Vir gets ready for a easy win, but could there be a let down specially after their big Rivarly win over Marshall?, I don't think so.

Fcs East vs Syracuse- The Orange beat W.F. and concentrate on going 2-0 in the young season.

Rutgers vs North Carolina- This should be a good test for the Knights as they don't need to overlook the Tar heel in this one.

Uconn vs Vandy- should be a good game, this one could go either way.

Cincy vs Tennnessee- To close to call in this one, both teams 1-0 and if the Cincy Qb can minimize mistakes the Cats should win.

Ball St vs USF- The Bulls huge win over the Irish is Big, But they cannot overlook the Cardinals of Ball St.

Not a bad start to your year so far.
How are you going to handle recruiting in the future? Service academy dynasties are always hard for me to do because realistically they won't take many future NFL players because of the fact it's a service academy, not a regular college.

Thanks for Looking in at the dynasty, Haven't really thought about how to recruit yet. Army is a 1 star school right now, I'll take what i can get right now. The thinking is trying to build Army back up again to a possible 6 star status. I know the road will be tough and long, But hey that's the Academies for you, Don't always get the best or the Flashiest, but they play hard every down.

Thanks again for Looking and thanks for the question.

                9-11-01

that Date lives in Us all, To those that Perished when the Planes hit the Towers and was witnessed by Millions on National TV.

After a Hard Practices during the Week, Coach Ellerson decided to Take his team to NYC to see the 9-11 Monument Fountain that comemorates to those that perished on 9-11-01. Captain Erzinger looked at all the names and even scribbled some names on paper, when he was asked why He said "So Whenever I think of 9-11 I'll remember the names of those that died for this country." Many of the Army Players could be seen with Tears in their eyes as they walked around the Fountain. Army Plays San Diego St on Sat which is the 10th and Won't be Back to NY til Late Sun Night, So Coach Ellerson thought this would be a good time for everyone to soak in the experience before they head out to Cali on Fri. "No one will ever forget 9-11 and I can guarantee you after coming here I will always take the memories with me always." Coach Ellerson Statement to the Press before he loaded the Team back onto the Bus for their Trip back to West Point.

When the Coach was asked about Preparations for Sat's game, Coach Ellerson declined comment.

Army Vs San Diego St Game Preview

The Cadets have boarded their plane and will arrive later today as they prepare for the Aztecs of San Diego St. Army Comes into the Matchup 1-0 and the same for the Aztecs also 1-0. Army got past Niu 41-38 last week, while SdSt rolled past the Fcs team 49-7. Lindley Threw for 5 Td's in that Game and Hillman only had 75 yrds before giving way to Kazee who had 106 yrds in last weeks win. Army is led by Qb Steelman who threw for 2 td's and Brown and Cobbs stole the show despite Captain Assin who had 97 yrds rushing but Brown scored twice on the ground and once threw the air. Army is built for Running the ball and controling the clock. While the Aztecs like to Mix it up with Run and pass. The Army Defense will need to step up and get pressure and Int's to Possibly Upset the Aztecs on their Home Field. With that Said it should be a good game either way win or lose. SdSt averages 49 points a game and Army 41. Army leads in rushing with 229 to San Diego's 188. Overall its gonna come down to the Defense's in this game. Army is 5th in Turnovers with 3 and San Diego is -1. Army's best Defense is keeping Lindley and Hillman off the Field and Score points when they can.
