    Carolina Panthers (4-0)768526
    Chicago Bears (3-1)777021

The Panthers has doubled their win total from last season, upsetting the 8 point favorites Chicago Bears on road, in a very close game, that the Bears lead for three quarters, but in the 4th, the defense come on their own, and lead to team to the win.

Another great game from Stewart, and a solid one from Newton. New acquisiton Kenny Britt(we will talk about this later) received 5 passes for 80 yards.

The Bears led early as Israel Idoninje returned a Newton fumble 35 yards for the TD. Carolina later tied with a 1yd run from Stewart.

In the 2nd, the Bears recovered the lead with a Forte 3yd run. Kasay nailed 2 FGs as the half ended, the score was 14-13 Bears.

The Bears opened 21-13 with a 1yd pass from Cutler to Earl Bennet. Stewart 5yd run put it at 21-19, with him running for 2pt conversion.

In the 4th, Kasay nailed a 35yd field goal, and the game remained at 24-21 almost every quarter, when lefting 26 seconds, Rubin sacked Cutler in the endzone, sealing the win for the Panthers.

Raiders owner Al Davis passes away.
Sad news. This early morning, he started not felling well, and his wife called the hospital. When the ambulance arrived at his home, he was gone. The Raiders didn't give more details, due to team policy.

It was announced that on every game, at midfield, will be a logo saying "AL", like it was for Gene Upshaw in the week 1 of 2008 season.

His passing probable makes the Raiders a contender to relocate back to LA.

                  Game Notes
After blowing out the Packers on the opener, the Saints is off to a very dissapointing start, losing to the weak Jacksonville Jaguars in last week.

The Panthers has won 4 straight games after winning only 2 last season, particulary due to the play of Jonathan Stewart and the defense.

Weather is expected to be partly sunny, with temperatures in the 70s. Like said previosly, the Panthers will wear their white jersey, while the Saints will use the black/gray combination.

                  Prediction: Panthers 31 x 28 Saints.

                    Panthers rally to 5-0

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

                    Carolina Panthers (5-0)37141539

When at halftime the score was 27-10 Saints, everyone was thinking that the Panthers season start was a fluke, and they are not that good. But the 2nd half for the Panthers can be defined in three names. Jonathan Stewart(as usual), Kam Chancellor and Brandon Hogan. Chancellor was probable the MVP of the game.

The Saints scored a TD early in the game, on Mark Ingram 3yd run. The teams then exchanged punts, and Kasay nailed a 42yd FG to make the score 7-3. Early in the 2nd, Ingram scored another on a 1yd run. He had almost 100 yards in 10 carries, when Chancellor appeared. His brutal shoulder to shoulder hit took Ingram out for the game, and right now, we don't know for how long he will be out. Newton perfect pass to Brandon LaFell traveled 31 yards to the endzone, making the score 14-10. After this, the Saints scored 13 unaswered and the game went to halftime 27-10.

The Panthers started fresh on the 2nd half with KR Yamon Figurs taking it 99 yards home. It was his first TD return since December 9, 2007. The Saints punted on the following drive, and Cam ran 5yd for another TD, making it 27-24. The Saints scored a FG, and then a TD, by Lance Moore, but NaVorro Bowman sacked Brees on the 2pt attemp. Then Chancellor appeared again. Moore was having his career day, until he meet the Panthers' SS. Another big hit, that Moore layed for a lot of time in the field, left him out of the contest.

J-Stew scored his first TD of the day in the next drive, and then the Saints punted, again. By the 2 minute warning, the Panthers was at the Saints' 11. But then Cam fumbled, and guess who saves the day for the Panthers?

Pierre Thomas rushes two times for no gain, and then the speedster Reggie Bush, evades Carolina blitz, and it was only him against Chancellor, but Kam somehow catch Bush and tackles him, four yards shy of the first down.

Then the Panthers received the ball back, at midfield, with no timeouts left. Cam leads the campaign like a veteran, and gets the ball to the 5yd line with 20 secons left. Then he saw that the Saints was defending the pass, not the run, and handed the J-Stew, who broke a Shaun Rogers tackle, and scored, and after this, made the 2pt conversion. 39-36 with 20 seconds left, it was finished, right? NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Brees get the ball back at the 20, with 2 timeouts.

1st play: Sack by James Anderson.
2nd play: Sack by Charles Johnson.
3rd play: Deep pass, deflected 2 times, and catched by Colston, at Carolina 36, and there was a flag on field.

Then comes the referre to the field, and say: Personal Foul, Carolina number 93, 15 yards, automatic 1st down.

Then after all, the game was still open.

Garrett Hartley came to the field to the 38yd field goal, that would have sent the game to OT. But...

                    The fan: WCMC-FM 99.9:
Hartley preparing to kick. There he goes, the snap, the hold and the kick issssssssssssssss blockeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed, Braaaaaaaandoooooooooon Hooooooooooooooooogaaaaaaaaaaan, Caaaaaaaaaaaaarolinaaaaaaaa winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnns, we are 5-0, unbelieeeeeevableeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

The Panthers is off to surprising 5-0, with 2 hard-fought wins in their last 2 games.

The Falcons is still searching for their identity, holding a 3-2 record going into a game that can be probable the most important in the division.

Look for a big day out of Charles Johnson and Athyba Rubin, with 4 of the Falcons starting OLs out for the game. This is a downgrade for Matt Ryan and Michael Turner. Julio Jones is back after suffering a concussion, and Roddy White will have a difficult matchup against the surprising Lardarius Webb.

                      Prediction: Panthers 21 x 17 Falcons
