Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)
Mallett led a comeback?
Patriots win in overtime over Eagles
PATRIOTS 26 - Eagles 20
Philadelphia, PA - This was very unexpected. Eagles get up early 17-3 and the first half finishes at 17-6. How in the world did the Patriots end up winning this? Believe it or not, it was on the arm of Ryan Mallett.
Ryan threw for over 300 yards and for two touchdowns. Equaled that up with 2 interceptions as well, which is something that needs to end. With 3 minutes left to play in regulation, Mallett takes the ball from his own 20 yard line and marches down the field. It almost looked like the end of the road when the Patriots are facing a 4th and 8, but Mallett looks for his insurance policy. Rob Gronkowski dropped a few balls in the game, but brought down this important 4th down catch. But the Patriots still were losing 20-12.
With only a minute left to play, the offensive coordinator calls in a screen. Ryan Mallett looks baffled as he wants to get the ball in the end zone and not be playing with the clock. Little did he know that this was the perfect play. Eagles were playing zone which led to Shane Vereen being open in the flat. Shane dips and dunks his way through traffic and finds himself in the endzone. But the Patriots still needed the conversion.
Who else but Mr. Insurance Policy to be wide open on the short hook play. Tied up 20-20, but still about 30 seconds left on the clock. It's up to Michael Vick to go atleast 50 yards to get into field goal territory. That's when the Patriots pass rush took on a mind of it's own. First down incomplete, second down sack by Vince Wilfork, third down sack by Jerod Mayo. The Eagles were backed up to their own 8 yard line. They had no choice to punt on 4th down. That's the end of regulation.
Here comes the OT coin toss. Patriots call tails and they win the toss. Of course they are going to take the ball. Needless to say, Ryan Mallett was not going to lose his first game back. First down after first down, marching down the field. Do they stop for a sure thing field goal? I don't think so. They go into the end zone and hand it to Mr. Stevan Ridley for the game winner. What a way to end.
It's scary to think the upcoming games are against teams that are better than the Eagles. What are the Patriots gonna do? Mallett is in no shape to take this team into the Playoffs. I guess we will just have to wait and see. On to next week...
Patriots Eat QB For Breakfast - The Patriots' defense ripped it up against QB Michael Vick with 6 sacks in a win over the Eagles.@RoFloEA - Be afraid of the #Patriots pass rush. Be very, very, very x10 afraid.
Good As Gold - Fans don't get to see overtime very often, but they did this week as the Patriots upended the Eagles 26-20.@RoFloEA - The Patriots have to just feel like the ultimate villains right now. Winning in OT on the road. #evil

Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)
2013 - Week #11
Heisman Hopeful - Illinois CB Jordin Grey is getting a lot of attention, with much of it being from Heisman voters.
Feast or Famine - The Bills and Patriots will meet for a Thanksgiving game. Who will have something to be thankful for at the end of the game?
Star Player Downed by Injury - Nobody wants to hear that their season is over, but that's the news N. Suh got today from doctors. His fractured elbow will sideline him for the remainder of the year.
Throwing a Perfect Game - Alex Smith pitched a perfect game, had a 158.3 passer rating as he led the 49ers over the Seahawks 55-22.
A Torn Bicep for Jahvid Best - The Lions want to have Jahvid Best on that field, but they also believe they have the depth to absorb the loss.
Chasing a Legend - Peyton Manning must not have gotten the memo that he's supposed to be slowing down with age. He moved beyond Dan Marino this week on the passing yardage list.
See Who's Tweetin'
@SkipBaylessEA - There is always a special quality to Thanksgiving games. The players KNOW extra eyes are on them too.@RossTuckerEA - Jordin Lemay just looks like a champion. Effortless and majestic all at once. Has to be the Heisman leader right now.@SCollinsEA - Drew Brees was a whiz kid in Week 11. #NFCPoW@WingozEA - Is anyone really going to try and act surprised that Chris Johnson is the #AFCPoW@MikeHillEA - Everybody knew Antoine Winfield was coming up with the #NFC defensive player of the week this time around.@RossTuckerEA - If Coye Francis wants to be part of scouting reports, this is how you do it. #AFCPoW@WingozEA - 1,000 yards for Ryan Mathews, and would you really be surprised if he just keeps on trucking?@WingozEA - Alex Smith may have nailed a perfect QB rating, but I scored a 100 on my 4th grade spelling test #samething@AdamSchefterEA - Congrats to Alex Smith for his "perfect game." #49ers@mortreportEA - Perfect passer rating only happens maybe once or twice a season. Well done by Alex Smith #49ers@WingozEA - Alex Smith did a great job throwing TDs this week. #fantasy@RoFloEA - Spoke with Ray Rice, and he feels 1,000 yards is the bare minimum he should get each year.@MikeHillEA - He was expected to be a star from day one, and that's what's most impressive about Manning still. #recordwatch@WingozEA - Good season continues for Greg Jennings as he eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving this week.@SkipBaylessEA - 20,000 yards is a nice milestone for many players, but probably not for Matt Ryan.@SkipBaylessEA - Look, at some point the defense should have stepped up and showed some pride in the secondary.@RossTuckerEA - Had a chance to speak with Tony Romo, and he was excited about how the offense looked this week. #wellduh@MarkSchlerethEA - Coaches love a guy like DeMarco Murray who can go out and get you the consistent yardage on the ground.@RossTuckerEA - As an NFL season progresses, the herd continues to thin, whether it's playoff contenders or healthy players. #Lions@RossTuckerEA - Stay focused Lions. Losing Ndamukong Suh hurts but there are games to be played.@MarkSchlerethEA - Don't see a way for Detroit to recover from star DT Ndamukong Sug going out. He was just put on IR.

Kings of the AFC East
Big Plays on Defense seal it
PATRIOTS 26 - Bills 17
Orchard Park, NY - First major exam....passed. Going into the game, the Patriots have really not been challenge. The Buffalo Bills are arguably the second best team in the NFL right now and Ryan Mallett and the Patriots took care of business.
Seizing the opportunity, Ryan Mallett decided to show up today. While not throwing over 200 yards, he was able to keep control of the pace of the game. He found The Gronk twice in the endzone, but his main focus was maintaining a good ground game.
Stevan Ridley continues to prove that he's a top back in the league. He may not go out and find holes for 40+ yard gains, but he battles. Thirty carries is a huge number, but he was able to maintain control of the ball and get first downs. LSH and Bolden helped out a bit when Mr. Ridley was winded and was able to keep the ball moving down the field.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is a worthy advisory as he was able to amass almost 300 yards through the air. Stevie Johnson always picked up the big play and Scott Chandler was around to grab the short yards. Jerod Mayo and the front 7 was able to keep Fred Jackson from exploded. Jackson found the endzone twice, but couldn't generate much opportunities to grab big chunks of yardage.
The play of the game is when it was late with Stevie Johnson getting a big third down to get the Bills to the 1-yard line. This touchdown would bring the Bills within 2 points and if they grabbed the onside kick, they could have won the game. Quintin Demps and Tavon Wilson had other plans. Buffalo was in the hurry up offense and these two Patriots DBs were on the field for a dime play. Jerod Mayo called quickly for a blitz and Demps found his way in the backfield and destroyed Fitzpatrick. Fitzy couldn't hang on to the ball and fumbles. Tavon Wilson sees the ball and jumps on it, securing the win for the Patriots.
Two bench-specialty players were able to show the crowd that this Patriots defense is for real and it's exactly why they are #1 in the league. Patriots head home to face the Chargers next week. Should prove to be an interesting game. We'll see it all unfold next week. See ya!
Bills Undone At Home - The Bills failed to get a win at home versus the visiting Patriots. They lost 26-17.@SkipBaylessEA - Best way to win over your fan base: win at home. #Bills didn't get that memo.
