Stocking Draft Picks for Future

Foxboro, MA - It's been a busy pre-season so far. Coach Gerard is unhappy not making the playoffs last year and decided that some people needed to go. Here are the details of who left and what the Patriots received in return:

Patriots Send:

• SS Devin McCourty - Miami Dolphins
• LOLB Dont'a Hightower - Carolina Panthers
• RG Mike McGlynn - Philadelphia Eagles

Patriots Receive:

• 2017 3rd Round Pick from Carolina
• 2017 3rd Round Pick from Philadelphia
• 2017 4th Round Pick from Carolina
• 2017 7th Round Pick from Philadelphia
• 2018 2nd Round Pick from Miami
• 2018 3rd Round Pick from Carolina

These moves along with picking up MLB Bobby Wagner from free agency were completed right after the game against Cincinnati. I believe Devin McCourty's 2 interceptions in that game sweetened the deal with Miami to move up to a 2nd round pick in 2018.

Wes Welker is also rumored in some trades. We don't know the details of this, but maybe we will see more moves in the Patriots future. If Welker is traded then there will be an open spot in the Patriots WR group. I wonder why the Patriots are looking for this. We'll have to wait and see, won't we...

Thanks guys. I'm tired of losing and I need to get a Super Bowl win. I see so many other dynasties winning Super Bowl after Super Bowl and wonder why I can't do it. Did I find a perfect slider set for myself that I have to play amazing at all times to be consistent? I have no clue. Let's see what this season brings.

This will be an exciting end of the preseason to see who makes the roster. Also, why doesn't anyone want Welker? He's been on the trade block for 2 weeks now!
