Re: No More Brady - A Ryan Mallett Patriots Story (Madden 13)

Woah!!!!! Look at that sea of colors...lol. Hey, so I finished all the stuff for Week # 8. Week #9 there will be no game for the Patriots and Ryan Mallett, so I will give you the normal "Around the League" and add in some season stats, league leaders, standings, potential wild card race, and more.

Enjoy all the extra things I added to week 8 with the injury report, awards, and potential Pro Bowlers for this year.

Hopefully when we arrive at week 10, the moves I made can springboard my team into the playoffs. Wish me luck!

Titans at 6-2, I love it! And Locker in the running for MVP? Holy crap. What does his stat line look like?

If Locker doesn't show up on League Leaders, I'll give you his individual stat line.

            2012 - Week #9

More Interesting By The Week - Drew Brees must not have gotten the memo that he's supposed to be slowing down with age. He moved beyond Dan Fouts this week on the passing yardage list.

Unsuccessful Road Trip - The Buccaneers left today's 44-24 game with a loss to the Raiders.

            See Who's Tweetin'
@mortreportEA - Many felt Greg Schiano would have a better game plan coming into that game against the Raiders.
@RossTuckerEA - 1,000-yd rushers aren't what they used to be, but it's not like you don't want A. Peterson on your team.
@RoFloEA - Reggie Wayne now has 900 more receptions than I had in the NFL.
@RossTuckerEA - Nice moment for Aaron Rodgers this week, he eclipsed 20,000 passing yards.
@MikeHillEA - Spoke with Marvin Lewis, and 75 wins later he still has pleny he wants to accomplish.
@MikeHillEA - He was expected to be a star from day one, and that's what's most impressive about Brees still. #recordwatch
@RoFloEA - Sometimes you gotta marvel at what Tramon Williams does on defense. #NFCPoW
@SkipBaylessEA - It would have been a travesty had Drew Brees not been named #NFCPoW
@WingozEA - If Kareem Jackson becomes a fixture on defense, what does it mean for the Texans? #AFCPoW
@MarkSchlerethEA - Tom Brady was simply unstoppable this week. #AFCPoW

It's football time so you will have to wait for League Leaders and the Week 10 matchup and game versus the Buffalo Bills.

                            Not in Our House
Patriots dominate as Mallett goes down with injury
                            PATRIOTS 44 - Bills 17

Foxboro, MA - Patriots move to 5-4 in the AFC East with their 2nd win against the Bills this season. I know the score looks a little lopsided, but the Buffalo ground attack was strong early on. Well over 100 yards rushing at the half. The two headed monster of Jackson & Spiller was a little too much for the Patriots D to handle, but with help in the secondary on keeping Fitzpatrick in line, Patriots came out on top.

We will have to keep an eye on Mallet's recovery through the next week. He took a big hit from Mario Anderson and landed wrong on his knee. Doctors said that it's just a bruise, and with a healthy recovery, should see the field next week against the Colts. Before getting carted off the field, he put up some significant numbers. Bringing in over 200 yards in passing, he was able to make some good strikes to Lloyd and Woodhead for TDs.

Colt McCoy finally saw some field action in the 4th quarter. Having 9 weeks to learn the offense, he looked like a Patriots veteran out there. He leaned heavily on the consistant Rob Gronkowski for 2 late game TDs in the air. Patriots fans can now be at ease for if Mallett ever went down, Colt McCoy will be able to perform well in this system.

Brandon Bolden looked good churning up 88 yards on the ground and found the endzone. Stevan Ridley looks probable for next, so this may be the last game Bolden will see the starting position. It all depends on how Ridley's jaw is holding up. We should see extra helmet protection on Stevan's helmet to assist as well. Mr. Danny Woodhead also helped the ground game in picking up 2 crucial first down runs. Both of them led to touchdowns.

Next week we see New England going up against the hottest rookie QB out there in Andrew Luck. We'll see how the secondary can hold up against this young passing attack out in Indianapolis. The Pats front 7 should be able to hold the run game to minimal yards as the Colts have yet to establish a franchise running back. Til next week.....see you soon.

With all the injuries and the way the team has been playing, I did not expect a victory. Seeing Mallett go down was kinda scary but he looks good for next game. I think I'll have to be careful with his protection in the pocket and watch more closely to the blindside blitzes.

Jake Locker is getting it done for the Titans. Like he was back at Washington.
