It's a little frustrating to lose all the time, but I'm not discouraged at all. I really enjoy the depth of this game. I just hope MTST doesn't give me the boot this offseason after going 0-12. Also, these losses are KILLING my recruiting efforts. I'm pretty much down to 1 and 2 star prospects now.

Hey Dad,
Well, we've got two more chance to break into the win column. Louisiana Tech is coming into town this week, but we're a 6 point underdog at home. Tech is 3-6 on the year, but that doesn't mean much to me. We've got treat this game like it's the first of the season.
In recruiting news, we've got another cornerback coming on an official visit. Hector Lee is coming in from California as the 179th ranked corner in the nation, but we think he's a bit underrated. He's got 35 tackles on the season and 1 interception. He's shown big interest in becoming a Bobcat, though, so that's good news.
Got to head down to the field. I'll email you after our win on Saturday!

Dad,
Wow. What a game. It's just a shame we couldn't pull out the win.
We were up 20-16 with 2:40 left in the game, and Louisiana Tech marched down the field and scored a touchdown with 45 seconds left. They went up 23-20.
Our wideout, Baughman, returned the kickoff 35 yard to give us great field position. Then, Sweeney completed two passes, 17 yards to Baughman and 12 yard to Tilton, to put us in field goal range. I called a timeout with 22 seconds and our kicker hit a 35 yard FG to tie!
We held Tech to a field goal in OT, but Doug Ford lost a fumble on the our first offensive play in overtime. So disappointing.
I feel so bad for the guys. They were really into this game. We just can't catch a break.
We've got a BYE this week, then rival Montana at home to end the season. Montana is 7-2 on the season. This could be the icing on the cake that leads to my termination.

Hey Dad,
Sorry I didn't email you last week. I've had a lot of stuff to do in the time leading up to our Montana game. We're a 10 point underdog at home, and my guys look like they know it.
We've got another cornerback coming to campus for the game, but I've not paid much attention to it. This game is too important.

Hey Dad,
Wow, what a night. The game was incredible, breakdown inducing, and worth everything we went through as a team this season.
The coaches and I went out partying after the game. Ran into more than a few players too. Didn't matter, WE BEAT MONTANA! God, I think I might still be drunk.
Look, I know 1-11 is nothing to go crazy about, but that win probably saved my job. You see they announced the tournament bracket this morning? Here's how it's breaking down:
#1 USC vs. #16 San Jose State
#2 Georgia vs. #15 Fresno State
#3 Oklahoma vs. #14 Central Michigan
#4 Penn State vs. #13 Tulane
#5 South Florida vs. #12 South Alabama
#6 Oklahoma State vs. #11 Georgia Tech
#7 Florida vs. #10 LSU
#8 Ohio State vs. #9 Kentucky

Hey Dad,
Been a while. I've been busy on the recruiting trail, but no surprise, it hasn't gone well. Here's a breakdown of who we have coming in on scholarship:
Montana State Bobcats Recruiting - 2013 NAME POS CLASS HOMETOWN CALIBER Everett Jordan CB HS Miami, FL David Edward OLB HS Astoria, OR Christopher Pollack QB HS Glendale, AZ Fredrick Moye TE HS Princeton, NJ Nick Velazquez RB HS Raceland, LA Samuel Mann C HS Edinburgh, IN Daniel Jackson C HS Poteau, OK Mike Bogan OT HS Jacksonville, FL Amos Osborne DE HS Harrah, OK Quentin Gray OLB HS Minneapolis, MN Winston Marshall FS HS Tomahawk, WI
It's one of the worst recruiting classes in FBS football this year. What do you expect from a team that went 1-11 last year?
To training camp!
